Tanathi reached #107 in Paranormal and #142 in Fantasy! Next goal: Breaking into the top 100.

I primarily read and write fantasy, but my second love is science fiction. Young adult is in there too, but it's more like the redheaded stepchild (no offense to any redheaded stepchilds intended).

The first thing I ever really wrote was a fanfiction (though I didn't know the word at the time) for a Fire Emblem video game. I continued writing on and off for years. More recently I began a few epic tales on a similar scale to The Way of Kings and The Name of the Wind. I soon realized that I had nowhere near enough experience for that sort of thing and am building my technique through shorter stories.

I also dabble in poetry, where I use the word "hame" excessively. I must thank Patrick Rothfuss for teaching me that word, and also warn him that if Doors of Stone disappoints I will come after him like Haliax - Hated Hopeless Sleepless Sane - the one who wears the shadow's hame.

That ten sword decal you see in my background is the symbol for the Stormlight Archive series by Brandon Sanderson, my favorite author. I have complete faith in him, but if he messes it up, I will personally see him banished him to Shadesmar.

My favorite series are, in no particular order:
The Kingkiller Chronicles by Patrick Rothfuss
Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson
Ranger's Apprentice by John Flanagan
The Ryria Revelations & The Ryria Chronicles by Michael J. Sullivan
The Lorien Legacies by Pittacus Lore
American Assassin (Mitch Rapp series) by Vince Flynn (R.I.P.)
