B. L. Klingler

My name is Brittany Klingler, my pen name is B.L.Klingler and I am an aspiring author. I have a deep hope & dream of seeing my books in a bookstore; but that's not why I write. My work comes from vivid dreams, silly ideas, deep agony, my somewhat unbelievable life events, and much more. I write for everyone! I try to make my children stories silly, educational, fun, and real. My YA novel that I finished in 2017 is geared toward 16 years and up, not due to language or content, but because of war, some violence, scary parts, and general bigger words!

I am in my 30's and I am not a writer by trade. I am a sports medicine health professional!  

Since I was little I knew I was different, no one my age should be in the amount of pain. Since those scared days of not knowing, which then trickled into many years of denial, no one believed me. Until I couldn't take it anymore! I went to school to help myself but I was not able to research all the answers or fix/heal me. I finally found a doctor that diagnosed me with Severe Hypermobility Ehlers Danlos Syndrome at 24 years old. This condition basically means I don't make collagen and for many physiological reasons ingesting collagen doesn't cure this genetic syndrome.  I cope with over 20 joint subluxations or dislocations daily, yes it is painful. I also have a funky or what I like to call a squishy heart and an extremely sensitive skin & GI system. After 10 years of being a certified ATC, a professor, and finally getting the job of my dreams...my condition has become too much for me to handle with a full time job. Thus I am starting over with my life, a life filled with massive pain, limited mobility, and a perfectly pristine brain.

So here I am, trying to become a writer because there are too many great stories in my brain to not be told!
