Out of curiosity, do you guys find mismatched timelines confusing?
What I mean is starting a chapter, having narration go back through and describe events that have occurred, and THEN jump back into the ‘present’.
I know it’s something I’ve done in the past and probably will continue to do, because I like a little backtracking that kind of forces readers to stay engaged and keep it interesting (and not force me to literally write everything out too ) but I wasn’t sure if it gets too perplexing to follow or if I do it well enough to keep things straight.
