Howdy people! I am so sorry for the dearth of updates for ATBS, but I must tell you that editing can be a bit frustrating. You are never quite happy and want to rework it again. So yep, there is that. This also means that I have a bunch of chapters ready to be published throughout July. Crossing my fingers because I want to wrap up the first act by this month.
On a side note, I was thinking of expanding Beneath (my ONC 2025 entry). It's very close to 40k words already so expansion won't be a problem. I'll probably do something about it very soon and let you all know what decision I've arrived to. That's it for now! Have a great day/night.

Howdy peeps!
I have been moving around a lot, prepping for an award ceremony and getting a bunch of reading done. Things have been a bit hectic so I had not been able to update y'all about what's up with me. On a very happy note, Underneath has been featured by the @fright profile in their Pride Month Feature reading list! My asexual heart is too happy!
On a second note, I'll be dropping the next two-ish chapters of ATBS tomorrow and the day after. Soon I might also announce something about Beneath, my ONC 2025 reject XD Till then, stay safe and happy!

Happy Pride Month, everyone!! It's one of those times in the year when I like to overshare. Sort of. Despite using certain labels on my bio until very recently, I never quite explained how it connects to my writing and things beyond it. So here it is; I'm an asexual panromantic who is leaning more into the gender fluid side of things. In simple terms, I feel no or little sexual attraction but am capable of feeling romantic attraction towards people of any and all gender identities. Men, women, trans men, trans women, intersex, non binary, etc, it doesn't really matter. And though on papers I'm female, I prefer a neutral gender identity for myself but lean slightly more towards my femme side.
My writing is a stark reflection of these identities. Many of my characters including Indira Mukherjee from Beneath & Ríone Embers from Underneath are both asexual individuals. On top of that, Indira is also aromantic. On the other hand, Yvaine Agan from Mina and Raisa Thorne from Beneath are homosexual and bisexual respectively. My WIP of many years, A Tale of Blood and Shadows, is filled with queer characters; Annalise is demisexual and biromantic, Adryan is demisexual, Wallace is homosexual, Lillian is pansexual and demiromantic, Nalini is bisexual, while Zaleska is asexual and aromantic. You can definitely notice a pattern here.
I ardently believe in love over romance and sexual intimacy. I believe that love is all that is, and all that will be. And I earnestly hope that we get to immerse ourselves in love in every way we want to.

Guys, any Ibis Paint X users here? Would love some tips on how to add shadow and depth to a dress I'm making there (yeah, it's book related)?

@Queen_of_life_Heba u could try making shadows with a darker version of the colour on a new multiply layer, blend the softer edges with lasso and filters, and add a splash of a complimentary colour inside the middle of darker shadows (depends on the art style, but yeah)

Look, look! What's here? My beautiful baby, my firstborn (forgive my drama) is back again after a major rewrite. A Tale of Blood and Shadows (aka ATBS) is a dark fantasy/paranormal book set in 1865 London. It follows a doctor and his new wife as they try to solve the mystery behind a string of gruesome murders happening in the city. But is that the only mystery that haunts the pair?
People who are fans of Joe Abercombie and Stephen King will like this slowburn chiller a lot. It definitely gets quite gory but is not as triggering as my horror novellas. I hope to see the OG readers return and for new readers to discover it. Can't wait to read all your comments!
