Nicholas Adrian Stanton

Nick Stanton was born in Swindon, Wiltshire, England in 1964. At the age of ten he relocated with his family to Rhodesia, the country now known as Zimbabwe. He attended Frank Johnson Junior School before graduating from Oriel Boys High School.  
His working career included Accountancy and long distance haulage.  During this period he met  people from all walks of life. 
Most weekends were spent touring around Zimbabwe with his wife on his Gold Wing. Places visited include Victoria Falls, Hwange National Park, Great Zimbabwe Ruins, Lake Kariba, Inyanga in the eastern districts, all stimulating Nick's imagination into writing this, his first novel. 
Twenty six years of life in the beautiful but harsh environment established in Nicholas an understanding and respect of wild animals hosted by Africa. Living among the tiny Mosquito, Bilharzia parasites, Tsetse and Mopani flies, as well as the deadliest carnivores and reptiles plus the African fauna and flora all inspired this writing commitment.  
Poaching and wildlife destruction was increasing at an alarming rate in Africa. From within this environment spawned the enigmatic adventures of Adrian Riley.  
He returned to his land of birth with his own family in 2000, to work in the security industry while residing in Swindon.  He is an avid author, passionate about Africa and its wildlife. His main interests include cycling and visiting the ancient monuments in the UK.  
Nicholas lives with his wife, Patricia, and their daughter, Nikisha, in Swindon, Wiltshire, UK.
