          Been away for a long  time!!
          
          Things been craze the last couple years with family and the fact I got married in the fall.
          
          I see I have been missed by some, and apoloize for poofing. I'm gonna look at my fics and see if I can pick them back up...hopefully I haven't  been away for too long to get back into the groove.

Do you have thoughts on using pen namesif you ever get original work published? How would you choose one?
          
           I was in high school a friend said that if i ever published a book i would need a pen name. 
          
          At the time, I thought putting any name but my own on my work was ludicrous. I'm proud of my talents and want acknowledged for my work.
          
          However, an older, more life wisened me sees some benefits to a pen name.
          
          1: When I am married the nom de plume means I don't have to fuss or stress about what to do with my surname. (I've always planned to go the old school route and take his name)
          
          2: It gives me a chance to honor my heritage. 
          The one major element that's gotten me thinking of a nom de plume is using my great grandfather's original Polish surname, which he changeup becoming an American Citizen. I think it's a great way to take back a bit of my ancestors that was lost during assimilation, plus it's a surname that would look good on a cover following initials.  Two birds, one stone.
          
          3: On the off chance of made some sort of web-based oopsie that using my real name might dredge up, it's a layer of protection.

Forgive me if I seem to vanish for a couple days here. Someone I consider very important to me has passed away. He was my high school theater director, and coached my speech team. Without him I would not be the me I am.
          
          So I'm not myself right now. I'm tired, and not very focused.

Hello friends. I'm looking an LGBTQ commuity member to help with a character for an original story. I'm straight and I don't want to make a stereotypical or inaccurate character. 
          
          I plan on having her lesbianism be the reason her late brother distanced himself and his family from her. She's not the main character, but her inclusion is a part of a sort of upheaval of everything the MC has known in life (MC is the child of the brother).
          
          I've also considered making the MC's sister (another side characrer) lesbian; but I am unsure if my reasoning behind it stands. (reasoning being that a suppressed/closeted lesbian, even while the rest of her world is in an utter upheaval, would feel a certain relief at suddenly realizing who she is; whereas her straight sister would not; causing misunderstandings and ensuing angst).
          
          When I write, I like to focus on the psychological aspects of stories. Why everyone in a situation acts how they do. And I believe everyone in a story is the type of character they are for a reason. So I don't just want token LGBTQ characters.
          
          Not fully understanding the LBGTQ community has kept me from writing such characters  in the past. But I don't want to avoid it. If you, or anyone you follow/are followed by can help me out; I'd love to hear from you, and I'll give you credit as an advisor.
          
          My eventual hope is to get good enough at art to make this into a manga-esque webtoon. But I think a book approach is a better start.
          
          It's probably not something that will make money, so I can't offer payment. If it ends up earning me anything, I will get in touch and offer a stipend!

Hey fellow Wattpadians,
          
          It's a bit of a rough time over here. My boyfriend is going through a process I can't even imagine. His mother is getting ready to move across the country (USA, so a big country), and she is very sick so odds are he will never see her again in this life.
          
          I'm trying to be as supportive as I can. But really all I can do listen and pray for him. And I am worried about him.
          
          If you are religious, say a quick prayer for him. Ask that he have the strength to handle this difficult time.

          We can flood Wattpad with our cries for justice and understanding towards those who have suffered through mental illness.
          
          Self Harm should not be ban worthy content to begin with!  You want to argue that it should be mature? Tell that to the multitude of teens and younger who face the feeling that it is the only thing they have control over, the only way to release the pressure...whatever reason they take the sad step...
          
          It should not be glorified; true. But by having a rule that results in suffering members being banned when they need this platform of self expression and support networking the most; more harm is caused than good.
          
          Rather than outright banning such reports, perhaps "violations" regarding topics focused on mental health should be handled differently than other complaints. These are human lives being gambled! Perhaps a personal follow up on the report to see specifically what was reported, if it is cause for concern over safety...a PM voicing concerns and the National Suicide Hotline or other relavent crisis lines...rather than a ban and abandon.
          Wattpad cannot take these individuals by the hand and guarantee their survival, I know. But they can at least try to set them on the right path!
