I'm going to be honest guys. I'm seriously thinking of taking down Game Sync Life, Dollhouse, and Fairytale. There's just not the readership and interactions anymore to justify stressing myself out over updates. I looked into it and apparently a lot of authors on Wattpad have noticed the same thing. There's a few theories as to why it's happening - the old readers have left and the new ones just don't interact as much, the wattpad algorithm is prioritizing paid stories and brushing the rest under the rug, and that Wattpad is just simply falling from grace. Personally, I think it's a mixture of that and the fact I haven't been able to be as active as I used to be. And if readers don't interact your story loses momentum. I want to focus heavily on publishing but the pressure I put on myself to post on here often makes me prioritize what little creative energy I have to WP stories instead of paid work. However, the returns aren't adding up and I think it's time I just admit the academy era is dwindling and breaching on nonexistent. I'm still deciding on what I want to do. For now I'd still be working on Atlantis and Wanderer, but only those two, if I decided to go through with this. And I'm only hesitating to keep those simply because of the insane amount of work I've put into the two of them. Idk. It's still something I'm thinking on, but it's definitely on the table. I'm sorry if this upsets some of you.

Fairytale is how I found you. I have noticed that the last few times you updated, Wattpad didn’t notify me despite it being in my library. You’ve definitely produced one of my favorite original stories in that one—feels more true to the original fairie lore concept of old. But I also understand your frustration. *hugs*

@tobecontinued-- Awww thank you darling. It makes me feel better to know you think I've been improving. I've been worried something was wrong with my writing lately myself so I'm thrilled to hear someone thinks otherwise. I'm going to try to do better about posting. For now I'm leaving up my works. I should at least try to update more before throwing up my hands and calling it quits.

@salsyyyyc I'm glad I'm not the only one who's noticed. Because, yeah, you're entirely right about the authoes vanishing too. It's like once we came out on the other side of the pandemic we were in an alternate universe lol It's mostly CL not publishing for three years too. That ruined the momentum a bit. Ola100 swayed me a bit so I won't take anything down for now. Still no promises about the future, but I'll try to just update more and see what happens. As I mentioned in the post, I know part of the problem is that I haven't been updating as much. I had good reasons but the fault is partially on me without a doubt. You're totally fine sweetie. I didn't mean for it to come across so crass. I looked it up yesterday and did you know wattpad was sold to a Seoul company in 2021? Yeah. And they own Webtoon apparently. So it's starting to make sense why ads and paid stories have been priorotized. I haven't had any GB/SB recs in years despite that being all I red on here.
