The original V TV series from the 1980s shaped my world in ways unimaginable. Having been a 12-year-old at the time, my psyche was a blank canvas. Typical tropes, of Good Vs Evil, fascism and roguery, Us V them, reasons to go on a hero's journey. V made me dream. Dream of other worlds, worlds within worlds, other aliens. One dream resulted in the tiny seed that after 36 years of collecting who knows what, living life resulted in images/symbols to words on paper. One thing I found of interest is that I was not the only one who had V fever dreams straight from the primordial cognition. Random encounters would talk about the show, then we would talk more about the characters, then there were the few of us who had the same ideas. We had similar dreams, similar cast at least back in the 80's when we had no internet. The one common thread of the dreams, be they mine or friend acquaintances, felid aliens. Bi pedal lions, tigers, cougars, jaguars, panthers, snow leopards. We all had come to the same conclusion, the cat aliens would rescue the humans.  But in my story what if...there was already were two baby cat aliens who somehow made it to earth? what if they joined the resistance? what if... In my fanfiction, I have named them the Ra'Kati~(not to be confused with the Kilrathi,(wing commander~ great game, but the cats there don't work with the images in my head). Even sent in a full character list with the two main characters to Ken Johnson, penciled in as best as possible then carefully chalked colored and set with aqua net... because that's how it was done in the day... (I was 12 at the time.)The timelines here seem to be quantum at best, the reading is exciting and enjoyable. Thank you. E.L. aka Stabbitabbi
