The pen is mightier than the sword. Famous words to be certain and a stark warning often overlooked. Swords are tools of force forged to wound us physically, but words are incomparable tools. They can be precise surgical instruments carefully woven to convey joy, elation, desire, hatred, pain, desperation, or chaotic weapons of war scattered indiscriminately into the ether unaimed and without structure simply jettisoned by those seeking to wound without concern or true conviction. To me words are a sacred tool wielded in the hopes of sharing thoughts, expressing desires, and conveying the depths and fervor of my heart and soul.

Writing is my passion. It has taken me years to understand and embrace the reality of that idea. Whether it is pen-to-paper or fingers-to-keys, when thoughts and ideas stimulate my mind words begin to flow and string themselves into patterns that shape the prose of my soul. I strive to stitch them into art that I hope will encourage, inspire, provoke deep reflection, comfort, sooth, or amuse. As letters land on the page and the puzzle picture takes shape I feel calm and serene, fulfilled by the evolution of my linguistic tapestry. My deepest desire is to make a positive impact by touching the hearts, minds, and souls of anyone who connects with what I express.

So often the forces of this life tear us down, strip away our armor, isolate us, and shred our defenses. Kind, passionate, thoughtful words can lift us up, fill our hearts, collectively tether our souls, and bring about the healing we so often seek and need. Embrace them, share them, wield them wisely with love, care, and affection.
