I'm a professional artist and jewelry designer who likes to write a bit on the side. I love things with tentacles, refuse to accept that being over 30 means I have to be a grownup, and frequently sport unnatural hair colors. As you can see above, currently it is hot pink.

Most of the stories I write take place in the Blood Mage verse. It is an alternate universe version of my home state of Maine, where magic is real but most of the population is in the dark about this fact. It's also a world of grays not black and white morality, even those on the side of good (more or less) make some questionable choices. Bright and happy worlds just aren't as much fun.

My writing comes from being an insatiable reader. I love fantasy, horror, mysteries, and science fiction. My love of reading and research actually led to briefly majoring in Medieval History and Folklore and while that didn't pan out it has given me a wealth of ideas to draw from. Probably my two biggest literary obsessions are H.P. Lovecraft's horror and Sherlock Holmes, I can ramble on about those subjects for hours.
