Hey Foodies!

Last week’s #QOTW was about food that you eat to remember the good times. How about the food you eat to forget?

Glory_feeling2

@TheFoodCatalogue Thank you! From time to time, I like to try a different dish from a diferent country if I can. And here's some advice for those who want to do the same. Go to an authentic restaurant that will serve the food, fast food like Taco Bell or Panda Express only does an imitation. Please take my word for it! LOL

@Glory_feeling2 We’ve all been there. Glad it didn’t ruin the whole experience for you. Sushi is delicious!

@TheFoodCatalogue It's not really something I would like to forget but a time to laugh at myself or blame someone for not telling me ahead of time of what not to eat at a Sushi restaurant. On this social outing with college acquaintances, it was my first time to eat in a Sushi place. Thought it would be interesting to try it out. But little did I know that the group I went with had already paid in advance for what everyone was gonna eat which made me sort of angry, cause I don't think that was a good idea. Like how do you know I will eat that sushi, etc.? Anyway, I do eat the California roll sushi, along with some shrimp, but I'm not a fan of the other kinds. And here's the awkward moment ... eating Wasabi by itself. How was I supposed to know it was supposed to be used like a sauce/dip?
In short, I took a taste ... oh, it was so hot! I almost drank a gallon of water to get the taste out of my mouth! Of course, the people laughed at me, but what do you expect for a first timer?
