my two stories, umbrella & it's all lies, darling are now in drafts because i don't think it's the type of story i want to write at the moment. maybe later i'll rewrite it and post it again

          In the first chapter, you change from the present tense to the past and back to present. All books should only have one tense unless it's a different POV. 
          
          And in the second chapter (2013) at the end, the girl smirks and says "Why are you staring Ashton?" It left me confused because I thought they didn't know each other? And why wouldn't he get freaked out by a random girl knowing his name?
          
          And since the story is set in 1867 and 2013, doesn't the girl ever die or something? Because in the prologue, it says it happens every 21 years. How would she know that unless she's immortal?
