I tried replying to your comment on my fanfic, but it was too difficult, so I'll answer your question here :-) In the story, Freddie's, Brian's and Roger's ages are altered. John is the only one whose age is the same. Hence the reason Freddie, Brian and Roger are still in high school - they're all 18.
