I don't have any excuses (or at least any I expect you to approve of) as to why I've been (admittedly) neglecting both The Found One and my blog (Flannel Life). However, I do offer up as a partial defence how my attention has been diverted to two other stories for the past well year or so now. 
          	One of the culprits is my manuscript 'Defiance' which I worked on for my post grad program this past year, and the second is a story that is still in the very early stages but that I am very excited about. 
          	I have finally found the courage to try and post at least 'Defiance' here and hope that not only you enjoy the story that convinced me to try writing, but that you can see that I was not ignoring you (and Rowan) for nothing. 
          	I hope this finds you all well, and wishing you all a very happy and joyous New Year!

          	  I hate when I get discouraged ... but 'tis life! 
          	  PS your encouragement over the past weeks (and well always) has helped, and hope your own writing is going better than mine!

I genuinely hope you’re okay. We haven’t heard anything from you since 2019. Even if you never finish these books or write again, it would be nice to at least know you’re okay
