Hello everyone!
So as you all know, I’ve finished Fully English/Breakfast in Bed which I’m both very excited about but also sad because I loved writing the story.
I’ve been working/studying a lot lately but I’ve recently finished the draft of a new novel.
My dilemma is pretty simple- idk whether to post this story on Wattpad or not. People constantly tell me I shouldn’t write for free but I really do it for the love and don’t want money to compromise my value. However as it is, I’m at a crossroads in my writing career and know I deserve a publishing contract (though admittedly I have not searched for one so if anyone knows of any that are up for grabs/the process, lmk cos I have no clue)
I guess my question is: what do you think I should do? Bear in mind, I have no contacts in the publishing industry and am currently studying an unrelated course and working in an unrelated industry.
Should I -
a) Edit Fully English/Breakfast in Bed and try to get it published in print
b) Focus on growing my Wattpad following and post my new story as chapters on here
c) Keep my new story offline and instead try and get it published offline in print
d) Edit Fully English/Breakfast in Bed online and write the new story online and then get both of them published offline in print. (longest option)
