imagine my shock a week or so ago when i found out readers don't really like first person! i've been reading on wattpad since the mid-2010s and nearly everything i ever read was first person so naturally when i eventually started to write my own content towards the late-2010s it was what i gravitated towards. i always knew of third person but it never even occurred to me it was a POV i could use - and to find out it's what readers prefer . . . mouth wide, eyes wider rn lol. ive been employing third person in my imagines recently as it's new territory for me and definitely a weak suit of mine. looking forward to this new era and what the future holds...

(@eightieswhore) for a hot second, i was shocked, then i was confused, and a tinge bit annoyed, but like i said, it's not a big issue for me - so i just let it go. i honestly can't see what's so bad about first person lol i'm actually a lot more comfortable writing in that pov than an outsider's pov. still, taking precautions is always important!! :)

(@eightieswhore) can relate. i've been reading on here, and on other sites, for a long time, and i've never had a problem with first person pov. a while back, when i started noticing that readers (and some writers) online were expressing their preference to read in third person over anything else, i was a little confused, but didn't think anything of it.

i didn't realize how many readers truly preferred third person, and just ultimately get the shivers when thinking about first person. it still confuses me how and why, but i normally would just let it go, since it wasn't a big issue for me. despite that, i've been implementing third person more in my writing on my secondary account, just to be a little on the safe side, and to try out a new pov! :)

it's taken some time, but i've got the hang of it now! :D

it's second person pov that's challenging to me, since i haven't practiced the art of writing x reader fics as much, so i couldn't agree more lol

new book out! a collection of imagines under the name of 'Messages from the Stars'. probably going to be mostly Led Zeppelin once again, but im only human... thank you all again for the input, i think a new book was truly the best way to go. requests are open!

nearly through with an imagine and wondering if i should make a completely new book for this new era of my writing or add it to my previously established imagine book. im not proud of my older work but that book has many active readers. decisions decisions

Either way fine for me as long as you're updating. But if it's a new era and you're not proud of your older work then i think it's best to make a new book. After all, it's up to you. You should do what you feel like doing at the moment, you have a glamorous way with words anyway. So Don't worry!
