What rlly pisses me off is when white queer people (im white and queer, as well) joke about being illegal in x number of countries like if they didnt go to one of those countries as a tourist nobody would bat an eye. We have the privilege to blend in with the homophobes if we wanted to.
We cant pretend that POC aren’t terrible treated in almost (if not every) country. Unlike the gays, they cant control the way they look—they cant blend in, they don’t have that privilege. Also—their are many gays of color that the rest of us gays CANNOT ignore!! We need to be there for them, stop pretending our queerness erases our white privilege and acknowledge that a lot of transphobic and homophobic attacks/murders take the lives of POC victims.
As a trans person, the amount of black trans women being killed is sickening.
I usually dont talk to much about stuff like this but like I saw a video that was making rlly good points that I wanted to address. Thanks for reading,

@elacoleee exactly this, as a south asian queer, j think you can u dertsand how awful the homophobia culture is, people think its so easy to just come out, reveal it all when I know that if i do i will be killed. I might be living in a western country but my family has always been more detatched from society, everyday i wake up and i cant erase the paranoia that comes with being queer Ah shoot this becqme a vent didnt it?
