Wow. I am appalled and sickened in response to the events of this weekend, which lead to the unnecessary loss of yet even more innocent lives. To Christian Grimmie, and to the 50 odd that were shot in Orlando, I send my prayers to you and your families. May you rest in peace, and may the scum that claimed your lives rot in hell

I realise I have misspelled Christina's name. Apologises and respect to the fallen and their families.

* I have been so inactive because of studying (I know - pathetic excuse!) but I am returning to Wattpad after my exams - or maybe sooner - as I will have plenty of time to write! For now, I am going through previous chapters, un-publishing and editing chapters! So sorry for the long silence! *

Hi, can you please explain the speech Nick did before singing Wedding Bells? I'm slightly confused

This is also a rough outline/explanation of my thoughts

Basically saying how he reacted when he heard about Miley's engagement and how he felt in that moment when he discovered this. About how he still felt this kind of 'ownership' (not literally, more like still connected in some way) over her, and that she was rightfully his.

But then reality hit him. He realises these feelings aren't real, just his mind wandering through his past with her. The song explains how he felt in the moemetb, in a figurative way. Like he wouldn't literally go up to her and say "I don't wanna hear the wedding bells chime" etc.

He also tells us how he almost forced himself to believe that these feelings aren't real, so he wouldn't become attached again. He had to leave Miley in his memories, not his reality.

(All of this is probably not 100% true. It is confusing and is mostly up to personal interpretation)

"It’s our responsibility to dive into the subjects that make us uncomfortable and write about them. And, so far on the creation of this record, there’s been a very wide range of subjects that we talked about. We talked about performing, we talked about enjoying those moments and staying in those moments. And some are momentary in the sense that you have to write a song and apologise for it later. I don’t know that I’ve ever written a song that makes me as uncomfortable as this song does, but, as I said before, I think it’s extremely important. Some things happened in this past year that affected me in a certain way in a moment, and I had to go and write a song about it in that moment. And although it’s not the way I feel at this moment in time, I hope that this gives you a glimpse into what that experience was like for me. It’s an incredible thing, and it should be valued, when you appreciate someone and care for someone, and there’s history, and as you move on in your life and grow into maturity, you have to take the experience with you as memories and not your reality. This song’s called ‘Wedding Bells’." This one?
