so a little change to the layout of chapters to ‘a love like ours’ - now the name of the chapter is in the actual chapter name, rather than as part of the chapter text, just so it’s a more similar to how it’s laid out on fanfic :) 
          
          we’ll see if i like it like that instead 

i would like to apologise for that random chapter update, i was proofreading (on my phone) and my finger slipped, it has been unpublished now 

‘macie’s story’ was published 1 year ago today. that is completely insane. that fic had many ups and downs and tested my patience on many occasions but it is now the fic i am most proud of so the tears shed were completely worth it. i’ve made some drawings on my twitter to mark the day if you would want to check them out too :)

2 years ago today, “a family affair” was published and it’s still insane how much that fic actually effected me, it gave me something to focus on for the first 3 months of college doing a course i hated, a course that did some serious bad stuff to my head. it gave me a distraction from the crap the world was in at the time and it was the starting point to writing upstead fics - something that i have loved every minute of the last 2 years. thank you all so much for the support the last 2 years, for all of you that comment, like, vote, and retweet the links on twitter. i can’t tell you how much i love all of you, i really really do.

hey peeps, just want to let you know the next update to ‘macie’s story’ will be up in an hour or two, it just needs to be proofread now. i’m super excited to share and wasn’t going to wait until thursday. also updates to ‘macie’s s story’ are gonna be changing, but I’ll explain that a little more at the end of the chapter! see you later ❤️

hey peeps, this was not a message i wanted to write but with everything going on with jesse right now and upstead and everything being a little up in the air i just wanted to make a post quick to say that i need to take a break from writing right now. i don’t know how long for, knowing me i’ll take 3 days and be right back at it because writing is the only distraction for everything, but even if it is only 3 days i need those 3 days if that makes sense? which means there won’t be an update to ‘macie’s story’ tomorrow and possibly won’t be over the next few weeks as well - that applies to ‘a love like ours’ too. 
          
          there’s a lot up in the air right now for content creators regarding the unknown on what is gonna happen with jay, and i know right now i should be taking advantage of the unknown to write as much as i can but at this very minute, the last thing i want to do is write about upstead when my comfort ship is gonna be gone by christmas, maybe even october. i just need to take a little time to ‘mourn’ jesse’s exit, because my heart is so numb at the thought of losing jay halstead. 

hey peeps, i’m sorry to keep doing this but there won’t be an update to ‘a love like ours’ tonight as i’m going camping with some friends and there isn’t any service around where we’re staying. the chapter will be published a little later this week instead ❤️

hey peeps, just want to let you know there might not be a chapter of ‘macie’s story’ tomorrow. i’ve had tonsillitis the last week and it’s been pretty painful and has left me with little motivation to do anything, however today i’m feeling a little bit more like myself and while i’m still feeling pretty rough i’m hoping to be able to sit down today and crack on with writing as much as i can - i just wanted to give you an advance warning just in case. i shall let you know more tomorrow afternoon about the status of the chapter. love you all! ❤️
