the sucky thing about writing fanfics is it’s a really easy way to get readers and followers. however, if you decide to publish an original story with original characters and plots, you might as well not have any followers because your audience has become accustomed to the familiar, and who can blame them for wanting to stay in that comfort zone? idk just disappointed and kind of wishing i’d either made separate accounts or had never posted fanfics in the first place because that isn’t where my heart is and it hurts to see those stories rack up thousands of views while the original stories i poured my soul into struggle to reach triple digits
