I'm a mom to four amazing kids. I was a foster child; I am a survivor of many traumas. I am physically disabled, suffering debilitating chronic pain.

When I first started writing Fanfiction, it was Twilight stories (I can't stand Edward or Jacob, lol. I was Team Jasper, but I have since moved on to MCU Fanfiction - always Ironman and his Spiderkid. It began as a form of personal therapy, even if it turned into something much bigger. After decades of therapy, writing my own trauma but assigning it to a fictional character was the easiest way I found to get out what happened and see it from a different perspective. It was the most therapeutic thing I've ever done, with the bonus that it keeps me busy since when you are in physical pain and stuck in bed, it's easy to fall down the rabbit hole & let the depression spiral out of control & most abuse, sexual assault/abuse or story surrounding significant trauma I've read piss me off. The abuse usually seems to be for entertainment only, with no aftermath, as if 
PTSD is imaginary.  So I decided when I was done with my stories, I would consider posting them in hopes that it might help others understand the realities of surviving, the struggles, the things no one talks about, the thoughts and emotions, and the reasons behind them whether the reader is a survivor needing to see someone had a similar experience and healed or someone whose better understanding of the topic makes life easier for someone who did survive or just might spread some of their newfound understanding. FanFiction has helped me make great strides in my healing journey, and I hope it can do the same for others.
