Around 15 years ago, I started to write as part of my consulting practice and authored 3 nonfiction books. New Society Publishers released my book Alliances, Coalitions and Partnerships: Building Collaborative Organizations in 2004 and it continues to be on university course reading lists. Governance for Collaboratives: A Guide to Resolving Power and Conflict Issues was released in 2010. Dundurn Press published Cracked: How telephone operators took on Canada's largest corporation and won! in 2015. This book won the Ontario History Society's Alison Prentice Award for best book on women's history in Ontario and was shortlisted for the Toronto Heritage Book Award in 2016.
Of Newfoundland heritage, an avid genealogist and family historian, I found a family link to the Huguenots and started researching. This novel Escape from the Sun King is the result of my curiosity.
