Justin Podur is the author of the thriller novel Siegebreakers (Roseway Publishing, 2019), the short story Under the Mountain (Queen Mob's Teahouse 2019) and the mystery novel The Demands of the Dead (2014).
He has worked as a journalist covering wars, a professor teaching environmental studies, and a scientist researching forest fires. He is an Associate Professor at York University in Toronto and hosts the Anti-Empire Project podcast and blog.
