          	With a heavy heart I write to you all about the devastating rioting and fires happening in my hometown. A police officer shot a man seven times in the back which was terrible and should not have happened and because that, rioting and protesting broke out. My hometown is being destroyed but my family is safe for now. 
          	
          	Because of this,  I am leaving Wattpad for awhile. 
          	
          	2020 has been cruel to me. I lost my mother-in-law, the Pandemic hit us, all of my plans for the year were canceled, my depression and anxiety got worse, work took my holiday pay away and now my hometown is being burned to the ground. 
          	
          	It's extremely hard to focus on writing when just outside my window I hear sirens and see smoke. 
          	
          	I will be okay and I will continue to read your stories as much as possible but Wattpad just is not a priority in my life anymore. I'm sorry. 
          	
          	Thank you for all your support in my story, In His Shadow, which takes place in Wisconsin and thank you for supporting me as an author in general.

Sorry I've been MIA lately. I've been battling my depression and need to take a step back to focus on my happiness and mental health. 
          
          I'll still be reading books and answering messages but I'm taking a step back from writing for the time being. 
          Plus I'm also considering changing the ending of my book (for the thousandth time). 
          
          No update this week and probably no consisting updates going forward. I'll publish my chapters once they're ready!

@KaraCarreira that's awesome! It's hard to find authors in their 20's! I feel like most of the ones I encounter are in high school which is fine but it's nice having people closer to my age.
