Karie Senkow

Karie is an author of indeterminate (or, mostly, just undecided) gender who has only taken the business of storytelling seriously after realizing, after years on years of reading other people's stories, how much they enjoyed putting words on a page that told about characters doing things in a particular order.

They were born and raised in a rowhome in central Philadelphia, and grew up on a steady diet of fiction and non-fiction borrowed on at least a weekly basis from the library a few blocks from their home. This was supplemented further by their father's collection of classic comic books, as well as their own overflowing bookshelves of all of the above.

Their writing was first recognized in a grade school contest, where they realized that someone might actually want to read their work. Their first serious attempt at fiction writing wasn't until a college creative writing class, and it wasn't until the publication of their short story, Each to Each, on Archive of Our Own, that they hit their stride.

Karie currently lives with their spouse and a small, fussy cat in their home in suburban Tennessee.
