The Wattys hype period can be a rough time for creators who post mostly short fiction, especially the ones who do flash-length pieces, drabbles, or microfiction.

I get it, for the most part: the Wattpad format prioritizes ongoing, serialized, episodic work. And that's fine. It is what it is.

But that's why I'm super grateful for the work of the Engagement @Ambassadors who have been running daily/weekly themed activities like Write to Rank (for @action ), All Punked Out (for @wattpunk ) and Aim to Engage.

I haven't been able to take part as actively as I'd like, as either writer or reader. But their output has given me plenty of fun-sized, satisfying entries to occupy my coffee breaks and ridesharing trips. The Ambassadors deserve credit for helping to make that happen. Cheers to all of you!

I've often dabbled with paranormal elements in my stories but it has never been quite so central as it is in "Himachali Gothic", a tale of writers' block and cosmic horror set in a north Indian hill station: https://my.w.tt/UiNb/8ZatVd245G

It won the recent @ParanormalCommunity contest with the theme Dog Barks At... Nothing?

Many of the other entries in the contest are worth reading, so if you enjoy mind, consider dropping by the challenge page to look for the others (posted in the comments section): https://my.w.tt/UiNb/KYGkyym55G
