okay so… i’ve been feeling a lot of type of ways about continuing DD… I started writing it when I was 16 (in my drafts) and now I’m in my 20’s… it feels a little weird to me writing about Harry, I’m not going to lie… especially because he’s a real person!! would you guys kill me if I continued it with another name? I just feel so strange about writing about him now given all of the shows/movies that have been made about him… i’ve been debating this for a while but figured I would ask the crowd! don’t hate me! i’ll continue it with his name if I have to, it is just going to be hard for me to feel motivated - and on that note, do you have any new ideas for Devilrry’s new name?? i just want to make sure everybody is in agreement, i love you all so much and know you want to know the rest of rivrry’s story xoxoxo don’t kill me for this!!!! - val

honestly i dont care if u change all the names i jus love the plot so much and think ur an amazing writer ive jus wanted the rest of the story  ur amazing

I think keeping the first name and changing his last name cause I also feel weird when reading “harry styles” it throws me off

It’s your story at the end of the day and i’d rather you continue writing it with a different name than nothing because i literally love this story so much so i would be sad if you didn’t continue it :((( and maybe keeping it similar to Harry like another H name so it won’t be too too different for us readers :,) love you queenie

Hey Val! Just read DD again for I think the 50th time and just wanna say I love your writing!! Do whatever you want to do and whatever will bring you peace. I really hope you decide to finish it in any way you want but if not I understand. Hope you’re doing well bae!

I usually stop reading when they change the characters name as it ruins the story for me and I find it hard to get back into it buttt it’s YOUR story and you’re the one writing it so whatever you do I’m sure other people will still love it

You did such an amazing job creating all the characters that honestly Harry isn’t Harry Styles to me in these books. In my brain, this Harry is a fictional character. I totally understand changing the name and will 100% still be reading no matter what you decide, but I definitely think you could only change the last name and keep Harry and it would just be as if it’s just his name if that makes sense. I’m not sure this made sense but, I don’t picture Harry Styles when I read the book, I picture a character that you created. so if you decide to change the name it won’t make too big of a difference in my vision of the character, but if you decide to not change it that’s also okay because again, I don’t even picture Harry Styles I picture devils due Harry.

also just wanted to add changing the name (imo) does not ruin the story like people have been saying. if you feel more motivated to write by changing the name then do it!! it wont change the relationships between the characters at all or the overall plot of the story.
