I just had to cancel a two day trip I requested off for a month ago because the tornado destruction in my county knocked out the power at work for half the week, and if I still go on our trip, I won't be able to afford my rent :(

when I told the friends I was going with, they got pissed off at me for bailing last minute, which is understandable and I apologized for. but they live no where near the area that got destroyed, which is literally fifteen minutes from where i live. I wanted to go really bad but if me trying to be smart about my money and not lose half of my next paycheck rather than just 2 days is me being an asshole, then so fucking be it
