In ancient Japan, there was a young man named Kenji who lived in a small village on the outskirts of a bustling city. He had always been fascinated by the stories of the Onryo, the vengeful female spirits of Japanese folklore. His friends often teased him, saying that he was too scared to ever encounter one.

One day, Kenji's friends dared him to enter an abandoned house on the edge of the village, rumored to be haunted by an Onryo. Kenji, determined to prove them wrong, agreed to the challenge.

As he approached the house, Kenji could feel a sense of unease creeping over him. The house was dilapidated and overgrown, and he could see that the windows were boarded up. He hesitated for a moment, but his friends were watching and he didn't want to back down.

He pushed open the door and stepped inside. The house was dark and musty, and he could hear strange noises coming from the shadows. He tried to shake off his fear and focus on finding something to prove to his friends that he had been in the house.

As he made his way deeper into the house, Kenji began to feel a strange presence. He could sense a female spirit, and he knew that it was the Onryo. He tried to leave, but the door was now locked and he couldn't find a way out.

The Onryo's presence grew stronger, and Kenji could feel her anger and hatred. He knew that she was seeking revenge for something, and he didn't want to be the one to suffer her wrath.

He could hear her voice whispering in his ear, "You should not have come here, mortal. I will make you pay for disturbing my rest."

Kenji was terrified and he knew he had to escape before the Onryo could harm him. He searched desperately for a way out, and finally, he found a secret passage leading out of the house.

As he emerged from the house, he saw his friends waiting outside. They were surprised to see him and asked him what had happened. Kenji didn't want to tell them the truth, but he knew that he would never forget the encounter with the Onryo.

He warned his friends not to enter the house, that it was haunted by a vengeful spirit and it's not a place for them to play around. He never talked about the experience again, but he knew that the Onryo was still out there, waiting for her next victim.
