I hide with Adelaide behind some trees and I bring my fingers to my lip trying to shush her. She continues to giggle from behind her hand that covers her mouth. It makes me smile but I freeze hearing a branch crack from behind us.
After Dominic had helped me to take a breath, I decided I wasn't going to cancel Luca's family day. Plus it would be the perfect time to talk to Alejandro and take the time to hear him rather than yelling at him.
Apparently Luca had called Dominic to come over since he knew that was the only person who could calm me down. Dominic had been on the way to lunch with the rest of the family so they happened to all be waiting in the car. We ended up just deciding to do one big family day all together and decided on the park. Well more like Adelaide decided. She almost cried when we told her Elijah wasn't here. I felt bad and couldn't say no.
We invited Marco, Mateo, Aria, Dahlia and their siblings to join in as well. And again, more like Adelaide decided. We were all just one big group who took over the park. The guys had their own little boy huddle or whatever. And us girls decided to play hide and seek with the kids.
It was getting intense. We were all in our pairs. Adelaide with me. Vivian with Ashton. Aria with Jonathon. Isla and Serena were currently 'it'. Vivian and Aria were already out leaving just Adelaide and I. And we were winning. We just needed to last a few more minutes.
Hands loop under my arms pulling me up in the air and I screech. Though my screaming turns into squeals of giggles when I'm suddenly being spun around in the air. I try wiggling away when I hear one of my favorite sounds waft through the wind. Dominic's laugh. I loved the sound. I loved that it sounded like a masterpiece. I loved that it sounded like its own song. I loved that it was mine.
"Put me down." I plead through my breathless laughs and Adelaide falls to the ground with her laughter. Traiter. Soon enough the rest find themselves to the commotion where I was still being tickled as if there was no tomorrow.
"Dominic." My stomach twists in a laughter of pain and finally he plants me on the ground. My head spins and I fall into Dominic for support. His laughter dies down when he notices my glare. "We lost. Thanks to you."
"Actually, Serena heard a lot of giggling from over here. Dominic was looking for you and we pointed over. So technically, you lost thanks to Adelaide." Isla smiles.
I give Adelaide a playful glare but she's too busy wrapping her arms around Ashton who stood awkwardly. He didn't look like he wanted her to pull away but he still looked anxious. "We're like you and Domy. He's my boyfriend. And I'm his girlfriend."
I feel Dominic's hand tighten around me as he looks down at Ashton disgusted. With me still at his side he shoved his hand between the two kids giving a rough shove to the 5 year old boy who stumbled away. I gasp, swatting Dominic away from me even with his grumble of protest as I latch onto Ashton. He gives me a shy smile and I give one back taming his messy hair.
