Chapter 3

Paige POV:

"Wake up Paige" Nika says shaking me awake.

"Yes Nika what do you want from me" I say

"You say you were going on a morning run with me this morning so come on, get ready" she says

"Alright give me a second" I say

"She was up all night on the phone with Myaaaa" Azzi says.

"Shut up" I say throwing a pillow at her

Time skip to after the run

"Whew good run" I say.

"Yea" Nika says

"Wanna go grab something to eat at the dining hall or go get some Dunkin' or something?" I ask

"I think I'm going to wait to eat later" she replies

"Alright" I say

We walk back up to our dorm. I take a shower and get ready for the day. The team and I are having dinner together tonight I think I'm going to invite Mya we seem to hit off well last night and at the mall.

I called Mya to see if she wanted to come to the team dinner she said she would come. I told her she could bring some friends as well but she said all her friends are still Minnesota and they wouldn't come back to Connecticut in time for the dinner. That made me sad that she doesn't have any friends in Connecticut with her, well she does but they're not here with her.

To kill some time, I lay on couch and watch this series recently added to Netflix. As I'm watch I hear a knock at the door. I get up to go get it and it's just KK with a bowl of cereal.

"Hey P" she get me a dap

"Hey KK what can I do for you" I say

"Oh nothing just ran out of milk can I borrow some?" She asks

"Oh yea go for it" I say pointing at the fridge

"And I heard that you invited that girl Mya to the dinner today" she says

"Wha- I just asked her that not even an hour ago. How did you hear that?" I say curiously

"Azzi just told me, she also told me that you like her too" she says with a chuckle.

I'm just in shock so I go into Azzi's room. "Azzi are you eavesdropping in my conversations?" I ask her

"I honestly didn't have to eavesdrop because you had the phone on speaker and you're walking around the place on the phone like you own it" she says with sass

"Don't sass me" I respond.

"So you do like her" kk yells from the kitchen

"How did you get that from this conversation" I say

"I feel that kind of energy from you, so yes or no?" She says getting straight to the point

"Yea I do like her if that any of your concern" I say with sharp eyes

"See that's all you had to say, bye y'all" as she walks out the door with the cereal in her hand. That was an odd conversation and I really need to stop walking around with the phone on speaker.

I text Mya to be at her dad's restaurant at 6:30. Wait I just realized that I like my coach's daughter. I cover my mouth in shock. Oh well he gon have to deal with it.

Mya POV:

Oh my gosh am I really going to dinner with my dad's star player tonight. Again feels surreal. Shit I have to figure out what I'm going to wear tonight. I start pulling outfits out left and right till I find one that's perfect.
