5| Still Together

Hard time like this I hope never comes, 
Because every part of me shatters, 
leaving nothing behind but scattered crumbs, and then every bit of me feels numb.
‘I want to hear you all the time’ I say,
Fidgeting with our anxious thumbs!

An eternal time I want for us,
With a lively home, fun, laughter, and all things plus. 
Crying, I say goodbye to you, 
While I board on today's last bus!

Returning to my place after a month, I should feel elated, 
Instead, this moment is going to be on my list of most hated. 
I shouldn't leave us and go elsewhere, till the last second my heart debated, 
But I can't forget there are my parents at my house, my career,
that stayed awaited! 

Your words are ringing in my soul, ‘I got your heart first, it was mine to begin with, but I just stole.’
Oh, he's such a heavenly being, I'm not letting him go,
I'm taking his presence, his words, his energy, his vibe, his feeling, his touch, his smell, his love, his breath with me from now on, enough,
that's my only goal! 

Reaching home I realised that breaking us or making us doesn't depend on distance, 
Our constant love for each other is what matters, 
It's the unending persistence! 

It seldom happens to us, but we believe in quality rather than quantity time,
Due to this our relationship stays in its prime, the sublime. 
I see you with me here, 
Nibbling my ear, near and clear,
Which is why I don't feel hesitant,
a single fear! 

Our little daily talks and social media stalks do suffice and fuel our love, the unconditional,
Just thinking about us, heals all of it, it's medicinal! 

Anything won't make us budge,
The bad weather, even obstacles of the world plucking our last remaining feather.
We will create our destiny and will be the judge, we will stay by each other's side, perpetual, 
By all of them naming us, ‘Still Together!’
