While he knew that you wouldn't be very happy about him leaving, he didn't expect you to respond with such indifference.

Seeing your frown, he decided to use his charm to win you over again. Taking your arm in his, he looked into your eyes and said,

''Oh, don't give me that look, my love. You know very well why I had to leave. The sea was calling me, and I had to answer it call. Can you ever forgive me for what I've put you through?''
