A Chance
Do you know that
My heart beats fast
Whenever you walk by?
Do you know that
My heart skips a beat
Whenever our eyes meet?
You know I like you
But you don’t know how much
You know I want you
But you don’t know how badly
But if you’ll look in my eyes
You will see
One sided love hurts
I know it does
But this isn’t one sided
And you know it too
You know you feel something
Even if it’s nothing compared to what I do.
I wonder why we’re not together
Why do you distance yourself from me?
But you probably don’t know
That I’ll wait for you if I have to
Because you’re the only one I want
No one else would do
I can make you the happiest man
On the phase of the Earth
I can love you with all my heart
If only you would give me a chance to
If I wasn’t scared
I’d run up and kiss you
I want to do so much for you
Hold your hands and hug you
Want to make you smile on your darkest days
Want to kiss you in the rain
Want to do silly things with you
Want to openly love you
So please give this a chance
You won’t ever know if you never will
And then maybe some years from now
You’ll wonder if you should have.
Give me a chance, give ‘us’ a chance
That’s all I need
