~~~Nightmare~~~~
~~~~~~Lindir's P.O.V.~~~~~~

I watched as my dearest wife was getting on her armor to go to war with the elves of Mirkwood in defense of that cursed dwarvish land.

She was the daughter of sister of Legolas and the daughter of Thranduil how I won her heart is still a mystery to me.

"Must you leave me Meleth nîn?" I asked walking up behind her as she put on her last piece of armor.

"Sadly I must, I have to be by my fathers side during this war. I love you more than all the stars you can count on the sky." She said with glassy (E/C) eyes as she turned to face me.

She grasped my hand and squeezed it softly then she opened her arms to me and I walked forward hugging her tightly. She wrapped her arms around me and I wrapped one around her waist and the other around her neck, my hand borrowing into her (H/L) (H/C) hair.
I felt her run her nimble fingers through mine which relaxed me slightly. She then pulled away at the sound of horses riding in.

"I love you Meleth nîn. I will not promise you anything but, I will try my hardest to come back to you." She said kissing me gently and I kissed her back passionately.
"Do not forget me." I whispered. "I would never." She relied then pulled away and grabbed her sword, arrows and bow, and her growing knives. "I love you." She said then kissed me one more time and then left through the door all to quickly.

Little did I know that, that was the last kiss I would receive from her. Until I die.

When the war was over her father rode back only with 3 guards. King Thranduil had a look of pure sorrow and misery etched into his usually emotionless face.

He walked toward me with his sword sheathed and he hung his head. "Lindir, my son, (Y/N) has fallen. She fought bravely and hard, I heard her mumble your name over and over again during battle. I may have never shown it but I was glad she married someone like you, even if you aren't of nobility." Thranduil said making me feel like an arrow had just pierced my heart then a hundred more hit my body.

"Sh-she fell." I mumbled falling to my knees. Tears streamed down my face and my breathing was rigid. I felt Thranduil pat my shoulder then heard him walk to his elk and ride away with his guards.

My beloved wife was gone. My friend. My rock. My wife. My only thing I cherished more than life it's self.

I slowly woke up from my nightmare. My chest rising and falling slowly. My head replayed the memories till I gathered courage to look next to me to see if my wife was there.

She wasn't.

I jolted up right and that's when the sound of my wife singing hit my ears and registered in my head. She was standing by our child's crib but she had our child in her arms.

He was clinging to her and she was smiling down at him as she sang. She raised one finger and hung it in front of him. Our child, Fervan, raised his tiny chubby hand and grasped her finger. (Y/N) smiled and chuckled slightly at Fervan.

I slowly crawled out of bed and walked to the two I stood in front of my wife and she looked up at me seeing the small beads of sweat on my head and my bloodshot eyes.

She gently put Fervan back in his crib and she could immediately tell I was distressed. She opened her arms and I flew into them clinging to her like my life would end if I let go.

~~~~~~(Y/N)'s P.O.V.~~~~~~
I saw my husbands distress and gently put Fervan back in his crib and opened my arms to Lindir. He flew into them and clung to me.
I brushed my fingers through his hair and kissed his cheek and placed a light kiss on his neck. "Dearest, What visions have plagued you?" I asked. He let me go just enough to look me in the eyes.
"I had a nightmare where you went to war with your father and you fell during the battle." He whispered and I pulled him forward kissing him passionately.
He was a bit surprised but kissed me back. "My dear Lindir, with you know in my life and our newest addition, Fervan, I will not be going to war unless it's to save you two." I whispered gently.
He nodded and a guided him back to the bed and I gently crawled in the bed pulling him with me and once we had laid down. I pulled his head to my chest and he snuggled closer to me. "I will never leave you, or our child Meleth nîn." "I promise you that." I said.
