Angela's eyes opened.

That dream....

No. It wasn't a dream. It was a memory that she didn't want to remember anymore. A memory that reminded her that she was being punished for what she had done.

The prison life suited her just fine though. The food was slightly off-taste but she was happier.

Wake up in the morning, do your respective chores, lunch, then her private medical session and a private room with Jake before dinner.

Nothing could be better than that. For the first time in her traumatizing life, she understood what love was.

Jake.

Jake Walker.

He had taught her how to open her emotions up. She often found herself giggling when thinking of him.

The prison guard suddenly rattled the jail bars with his baton rousing her from her thoughts.

"You have a visitor", he said.

Angela got confused. Who would want to visit her? Definitely not Stephanie unless it was......

No. Not him.

"Who- who is it?", she asked.

The guard shrugged.

"Someone called Brandon Collins I think"

Holy shit.

A week later:

"There's something wrong with her", Chris said.

"Are you sure?", Uncle Jon confirmed.

"I know when she's lying. She tells me its the cramps but deep inside she is lying to me", Chris explained disappointed.

He hated it when anyone lied to him.

Uncle Jon nodded.

Steve, Chris and him had gathered to discuss about Stephanie's parents' murder case. Not because they were curious but because it was taking a toll on Stephanie's mental health.

"I know.... or at least I think its that guy named Brandon Collins.", he said.

Chris raised his eyes.

"How long has she not been to the company?", Steve asked.

"Since the incident back then at her house", Chris answered.

So that's what it was along? Money? At the end everything that my wife had to go through was because of money?

Pathetic.

"Uncle I heard the Detective caught someone?", Steve wondered.

"Yes. A guy was caught by your friend Nathan and then handed over to Jake Walker. ", Uncle Jon told them.

"Is he being kept in custody?", Chris asked.

"Yes but he decided to become a witness for the police. The detective told me that the guy said he felt sorry towards you and was in your dept."

Me?

"I need to meet the guy", Chris said, getting up.

No one questioned him further. Chris went out and called Nathan.

"That guy you caught? I wanna talk to him. Personally yes.", he demanded.

Nathan hurriedly put on a sweatshirt and headed out into the cool evening air. He wondered if Chris remembered Alex....

Well they were friends. They should have a lot to catch up on.

Thinking about them being friends he was reminded of Stephanie.

I need to meet up with her. She is not doing too well anyways.

The sudden change in her attitude had felt distantly strange to him. She had refused to talk to him or meet him. He couldn't say that he was not hurt. He was. But he probably deserved that much after what he had put her through.

Nodding to himself, he headed towards the police station.

Without knowing that he had a hitman just above him.

*

"Why should I let you in?", Jake questioned them.

"I think I might know him", Chris repeated himself again.

"You can keep your thinking to yourself.", Jake retorted.

He was throwing a meaningless tantrum and not letting them meet up with Alex.

All of a sudden, Stacy threw a pellet at Jake's head. He looked at her with annoyance and groaned.

"Boys you can go in. My middle-aged partner is yet to hit his puberty. Never mind him"

Jake scowled at her and sat behind his respective desk.

Nathan and Chris went in the room. It was a private custodial room. The room was small with just a bed and a thin blanket. A mint-haired young guy was lying on it and playing with his hair like a kid.

As soon as he heard the door open, he got up excitedly only to wish he was invisible.

His face went pale as soon as he saw who walked in the door and with whom. It felt like ice was being struck at his heart so that he could die while being in tremendous pain.

Why God? I don't want to come to you right now..... I love Mother Earth very much thank you.

Nathan didn't notice his distress. He waved Chris in.

"This is Alex. Remember him?", he introduced him to Chris.

Chris blinked twice to make sure he was not dreaming. How he wished he was though! At last he found his voice and gasped out loud.

"Troy!"

*****

Did you remember that he was not Alex but Troy????? No right?
