I was rereading the story and when Mara first met Luciana it’s mentioned that Luciana saw marks on Mara’s legs but i think that they weren’t just bruises because it’s mentioned Mara has bruises but the way Luciana stared I have a bad feeling. If her legs are scarred and her arms….. God what did Carl do? 
          I really really hope that when her father finds out it will be a wake up call because he tells her he’ll be there but i think that he’s more focused on the business and I hope Mara sees that. Maybe it’s because we only get to read her point of view and Leo’s but she kind of is all alone no matter what and she’s been shouldering all of this alone god she’s strong. I also hope that Nicky really finds out about the abuse in depth like how he drank the money he send them and everything. Also I’m really curious about Ricky. Will he ever warm op to her or will he always remain his mother’s son. Godddd I love this book

@bunny1012345 I love all of your questions and comments!! This is exactly the kind of stuff I like to stir up in my writing and a lot of it will be addressed in this story!!! 
            
            Only thing I will say, as much as Mara is learning to be part of the family, she still has a tendency to try and shoulder things alone. So, while she will eventually have to open up about a lot of Carl’s abuse, I tend to think she’ll keep holding a lot of it close to her chest. Mara is extremely strong, but this has also made her a bit hard hearted and unwilling to trust. 
            
            Also, I love Ricky and have big plans for him!

I wondering if Mara will decide to ask her dad about his past relationship with her mother or if  she will try to find out the truth herself.  I’m curious to how they met. I think that this will be an interesting part of the story.

@Jwinder Me too!!! I think the relationship between Mara and her Dad can be so tumultuous, especially with all the stuff going on around them. On top of that, the two of them tend not to be the best communicators, so it’s kinda hard to say how Mara will approach the subject.
            
            Also, I can’t wait to write more about Destiny and Dominico’s relationship!!! I have so many ideas about it!!!

Het author i have another question I think Mara mentioned that the money her father send to them was used by Carl for booze but did her mother give him the money for it? How did he have access to it?

@bunny1012345 Good question, I think that Carl taking the money was another layer to his abuse, one which Destiny enabled. I don’t think it was ever an actual decision that Mara’s Mom made, but more of a slow deterioration of her own personal agency which spanned across years. Carl was a sinkhole in their relationship, taking and taking and taking until there wasn’t anything left to give. Destiny and Carl didn’t start dating till Mara was 10 or 11, then Destiny and Mara went to live with him when Mara was like 13, which I think would’ve been around the time that Carl really began pushing boundaries and becoming completely possessive of what Destiny had (and what he considered his). Hope this helps!

I also have a theory I think Mara’s father was abused by his father and he also abused his mother so that’s why he doesn’t talk about it also I think because of this he will feel really guilty when he finds out about Mara’s like with carl. I really hope you’ll give us that chapter in his point of view  against thank you for reading my rant!

@bunny1012345 Haha you’re definitely onto something, Dominico 100% didn’t have a great relationship with his Father. That said, I’m not planning to do a chapter from his POV during this story. This story is almost completely from Mara’s POV, switching to Leo’s POV for every ninth chapter

Don’t get me wrong I am thankful that you update regularly because some authors don’t but I sometimes feel like 1 update just keep me thirsty. @bunny1012345 Hey!! Thanks so much for continuing to support my ongoing story! Right now I am a bit swamped with tasks, which is why the frequency of my updates has kind of dropped down! I do hope to update more over the Summer, specifically in July when I am anticipating having a bit more time on my hands. Another reason my updates have kinda slowed is because I’ve been debating a lot about some directional things for the plot of the story, so bear with me cause I’m still very much trying to figure everything out lol
