Shotaro's POV

I entered the tall building. "Are you Shotaro?" A guy asks me, I nod in response. "Great, everyone's excited to meet you." He tells me. I follow him to the dance room. I see a big group of people sitting around and talking with each other. Some were already warming up. "Guys, say hello to Shotaro our new dance crew member!" Everyone looks at me and greets me. They tell their names and wish me luck. They gave me a warm welcome feeling. "I'm sorry I'm late, oh you didn't start yet great." I turn around to see a girl.

"That's y/n. Amazing dancer, but is 8/9 late." Ten tells me with a chuckle. "She looks..." Jeno cuts me off. "Gorgeous? Yes she is but you have no chances with her." He says. "Why?" I ask confused. "She isn't looking for a anyone, she rejected everyone who's ever asked her out here." Jisung tells me. "But I wasn't going to hit on her." I say. "Don't lie, everyone here already tried to, at least once." WinWin said. "Are there who tried it more?" I ask. "Me. But I gotta say she's worth trying."

"Shut up Johnny. She's not a toy." Yuta sits with us. "I didn't even do anything." Johnny says. "Except for asking her out 3 times and staring at her all the time." Taeyong says. "3 times?" I say surprised. "Yup, this guy doesn't know when to stop and doesn't get the hints." I look up at y/n who stood in front of us. "I'm y/n, nice to meet you." She gave me a hand to shake it. "I'm Shotaro." I smile. "Any dance experiences?" I nod. "I've been in a dance crew before, back in Japan." I tell her.

"Oh cool, can you show us something?" She asks me. "Yes please show us something." Maya said excited. "Okay, do you have some music?" I ask. Someone turns on the music. I was lucky that it's the song I once did a dance to with my previous crew. I start dancing the choreography until the music stops. "Wow, very impressive." A girl walks in clapping in her hands slowly. "Ara don't." Y/n says. "What? I just complimented him." She said. "We know what you're doing. But it won't work on Shotaro, he's actually really good we can use him in this team." WinWin says.

"We'll see. He probably leaves within a week, just like everybody else." She sighs. "Don't listen to her okay." Y/n tells me, I nod in response. She gives me a reassuring smile. "Okay everyone get in positions, we're going to start!" Taeyong calls us all together. "We're doing duo dances, I'm usually with y/n but you can go with her now. I'll go with Ara." Taeyong says to me. "Are you my new dance partner?" Y/n asks with a smile. "Yes I am." I say. "I'll go over the dance with you so you can catch up."

Me and y/n stand separately from the rest, she teaches me the dance step by step. "And from here we gotta dance together. That's what we're learning today." She tells me. We followed the steps Taeyong was teaching us. I was standing very close to y/n. "Is this o-okay?" I ask unsure. "Yes, it's just a dance." She chuckles. I nod as we continued learning and repeating everything. "So what's the deal with Ara actually?" I ask y/n. "She's just scared that someone's better than her." She explains to me.

"Then why's she still here?" I furrow. "We can't just kick someone out because we don't like her." Y/n said. "But don't get too intimidated by her. You're really good and a fast learner. You're perfect for our team." Y/n said. "Thanks, that's nice to hear on my first day." I chuckle. "You know I'm still looking for someone." Y/n caught me off guard. "What?" I give a confused look. "Look we're doing every year a show, every group gives a performance and there's also a duo dance, this year it's me but I don't have anyone yet."

"Ow okay haha. But why me?" I ask. "You can show what you got to everyone. Come on, it will be so much fun." She smiles. "And we make our own choreography?" Y/n nods. "I'm in." I tell her. "Great. I can't wait. Come tomorrow at the same time, we can decide on music, style, you know the basics." I nod in response. "I'll be here." I tell her. "Shotaro, Y/n, are you still paying attention?" Our heads turn to the front. "We're sorry." we both apologise. I look to my side to see some of the guys laugh.

After practice I sit down and take out my water bottle. "And?" Jeno asks. "What do you mean?" I question. "You and y/n seem to get along well." Jisung says. "Did you ask her out?" Yuta asks. "No. She asked if I could be her dance partner during the yearly show." I tell them. They all look surprised. "That's a big thing you know." Yuta said. "Why?" I ask. "Because y/n thought of doing it alone and here you are telling us that she chose you!" Ten said impressed. "Maybe she likes you." WinWin said.

"You think so?" He nods. "He's true, I've never seen y/n like this before." Taeyong says. I take a glance at her, she was staring and smiles. "I have to go now, see you tomorrow Shotaro." Y/n smiles sweetly and waves. "Bye." I wave back before she left the dance room. "She totally likes you!" They all freak out. "Tell me how you did that." Johnny says with a pout. "I don't know. But what do I do?" I ask. "Just see first. If you like her, go for it." They tell me. "Our Shotaro and y/n, can you imagine how cute!" They make me shy and blush.
