Chapter 11 - X Factor Pt. 2

Just decided to update while I have a couple seconds to spare, probably won't be able to again until after the holidays.

Dedicated to @lovela because she is awesome and I did promise her...

I grin as I hide behind the buffet table backstage. Louis is a genius. And of course, the other boys had to get in on the fun too. Liam's going to flip.

Suddenly, I see Louis pop out of his hiding place - the curtains at the edge of the stage - and do a ninja roll across the open area towards me. When he straightenes up, he makes a little finger gun and points it around, like in that movie Mission: Impossible. "The area is secure." he says into his shoulder. "Louis, you do realize you don't have a radio, right?" I laugh as he drops down next to me. He looks at his shoulder in surprise. "Noooo what happened to it? Vi, Harry told the carrots to steal it from me!" he whines. I crack up, and Louis' face makes me laugh harder. He looks like someone stole his carrots. Well in his mind, the carrots did betray him...

"Anyway, why aren't you hiding? Liam's going to notice any minute now!" I hiss, keeping my voice down. The performance is about to end, and our trap will be sprung any second. He just shrugs. "Harry said he'd cover for me since your part would be easier with two people." "Well, as long as he covers for you, then you can stay." I say, using my best overprotective mother voice. He gives me a wicked grin, and our trap is sprung.

Liam walks out of the wings of the stage, clearly looking for the boys. "Guys? Where did you go?" he yells. I catch Harry winking at me out of the corner of my eye, and suddenly, every single person in the room just gets up and walks out. Except Liam of course. I wonder what Haz told them... "Guys, this isn't funny." he says, clearly annoyed and slightly worried.

Next up is Zayn. He sneaks up behind Liam, who is texting someone, probably telling management that the boys are missing again, and gives a bloodcurdling scream. Liam jumps, squeals like a little girl, and whirls around, and Zayn gets him full in the face with the can of silly string in his hands. Louis and I pop up from our hiding place and join in the fun, and Niall and Haz appear too. Liam goes down under the assault.

As I'm laughing my ass off, I feel something sticky on my cheek. I reach up, and peel away... Silly string. I turn, and Louis gives me an unholy grin and opens fire. I duck the first attack, and it goes straight over my head and right at Zayn's hair, taking the quiff down. Again.

"LOUIS YOU BASTARD!!!! You're gonna get it now!" Zayn screams at him, opening fire. Louis dives behind Harry, and Harry is the now one to get the face full of silly string. He shakes his head, spits some out of his mouth, (eww) and returns fire. Pretty soon, what with the horrible aim these boys have, it's an all out war - every boy/carrot for themselves. That is, until management comes and breaks up the party

"Boys, what in HELL happened here?" One of the X Factor management people comes backstage, presumably to yell at us anyways, and sees the mess we made. I note with interest how fast his face seems to be turning a blotchy purple color.

"We decided to have a little fun and... um.... yeah." Harry says, as eloquent as always. The guy's face is slowly turning solid purple, filling in the white spots on his cheeks. "WELL CLEAN IT UP!!!! And hurry, you're on in twenty minutes!" he positively screams at the boys. He turns on his heel and walks out. Which would've been slightly more intimidating if he hadn't slipped and fallen on his face into a pile of silly string.

The boys and I burst out laughing. I'm actually holding onto Louis for support, that's how funny this is. The guy gets up, gives us all death glares, and walks out again. This time he actually manages to make it to the door. What an accomplishment.
