I know, I know. Author notes as a first chapter is annoying. But, before we begin our journey, there are a few things I'd like you to keep in mind.
First, This fic will be based mostly off of the movies. Any references will most likely be from the films. I wanted to do this to avoid confusion for anyone who hasn't read the books. (Yes, the books are a great recommendation and I enjoyed them but not everyone enjoys reading 7 book series.)
That leads me to my next point. Not everything will be canon. You should already know this because Fred's alive. But if I changed any pieces of information to fit the story just know, it was on purpose. I do know about it. It's a fanfiction. Not everything will be the same as the movies and that's okay. I still think you'll enjoy it.
My last point, I think, Is this story supports the headcanon of a death in the Weasley family prior to when the films and books take place. In short, There's a headcanon floating around that Molly and Arthur kept up the two year trend between Percy and Charlie and had a daughter. In my version, their daughter was killed rather than kidnapped. This is important to the story and no, I won't tell you why. You'll just have to read and find out ;)
