the hunt

first and foremost, obviously, you need to hunt to survive. and guess what? hunting in Antarctica was far from a simple task. while there were penguins, sometimes fish, it was not easy to hunt by yourself. any companion you had in the past was horrified by the way you were, making them so fearful that they fled to the deepest part of the world, where the aliens were. aliens were more attractive than you. you, the reader. who is sitting here, reading this incredibly detailed fan fiction that I probably shouldn't be putting so much effort into, while both of us could be being productive. oh, blast! we've gotten derailed from the point of all of this.
hunting.
so, as one does, you got out of the water, ready to start the day. by the way, your species, leopard seals, float to sleep. no dens, no cracks in icebergs, nothing! just floating. hmm. you wished you had coffee/tea/hot chocolate/ your other random preferred drink in the morning right now to go alongside with whatever you would catch later. probably something lame like a seabird or penguin. a penguin was an unlikely thing to catch alone for you, though. when you were little your mommy dropped you on your head :(. you are disabled in some way. mayhaps it affected your appearance, because you are truly a sad sight to see! or your hunting skills. well, you have abandonment issues (obviously) because your mother and father left one day and never came back. they didnt get to teach you very much. while leopard seals are quite notorious for being very solitary, you really think that this story will go along will that? sorry, darling, you are mistaken. oh, what I meant to say before was that your hideousness and vile looks probably had correlation with being so lonely.
but all of that is quite beside the point. fillers and all, you know. as you rose out of the water and onto the frozen, white surface, you left a trail of wet while you lazily slid across the ground. you sighed and took a moment to examine your surroundings. white, white, oh, wait . . . nope, still white. ridge here, ridge there, ridge everywhere. antarctica seemed repetitive! truly boring it was, to be a leopard seal living in this rough day and age.
