Let's just forget about how long it's been since I updated.

19th January 2015

The first thing I did when I woke up the morning after me and Reece when to dinner last week, was call Alice. Then I proceeded to describe to her the whole evening, in large detail. She was just as excited as I was. She also seemed relieved, she knows how long I've had a crush on him for, I think she's glad it's finally happening. So am I.

I didn't, however, tell my parents about it. I don't really know why, I just feel like it's something that's nothing to do with them. Maybe I should tell them. Should I? Maybe I will.

I've been texting him every day since. He's so intelligent. He loves science. I never knew that. I know things about him now, that I never thought I would have the chance to know. I never imagined that Reece would tell me things about himself, that no one else knows.

He plays football, but he hates it.

His Dad wants him to be the next David Beckham.

He would rather be the next Neil Armstrong.

He can play guitar.

Every summer he goes to his family's villa in Spain, and every winter they go skiing.

He loves the rain.

He is interesting, and not in a geeky, unattractive way. In a way that makes you want to know everything about him. you want to know more and more, and never get bored.

20th January 2015

I didn't write much yesterday because I had a lot of studying to do, Alice says I should pass my exams first, write after.

But something did happen yesterday. I told my parents about Reece and everything. And then they told me about everything. Everything.

Here's how the conversation went.

Me: "Mum! Dad! Guess what!!

Mum: "Hey honey, are you okay?"

Me: "I'm better than okay!! I need to tell you both something."

Dad: "Go ahead, sweety. Then your mother and I need to tell you something."

Me: "What? Oh, never mind. Okay, you know when you invited Reece over for dinner? That was the best thing you have ever done for me! So we talked, that night, while he was here, and he said that we should spend more time together. And we have been. We went out for dinner, he bought me flowers. I know that you both know how much I've liked him for a long time, so I have to thank you, for inviting him for dinner. Argh! I'm so happy Mum! It's finally happening! I think he might actually like me."

Mum: "Oh, Jess that's amazing! We're both so happy for you."

Me: "I know, Mum. Thankyou. So, what did you have to tell me?"

Dad: "Um, I don't really know how to say this, Jessie. Me and your Mum have been thinking about this for a long time. We both agreed that this is the best decision for all of us. I got a promotion, at work. It might not be great timing for you, but it couldn't get better for us. New year, we can start a new life. The job is in New York. We're moving there in a month."

Me: "What...?"

Mum: The decision's been made. It's happening."
