♛ Segi ♛

What a relief.

I watched as the pair of blue-gray eyes gradually closed, and the beautiful caramel-blonde woman relaxed into my arms.

What a relief that Evangeline was fine.

"You!"

Ah, that familiar annoying voice.

I sighed, carrying the unconscious Evangeline into my arms. I admired for a moment longer, especially the beauty mark under her right eye, before looking at Aaron.

"Hello, Aaron."

"Segi! What the hell are you doing here?" Aaron barked out. "And let Eva go!"

"Seeing as you are the one who led her to danger," I tightened my arms around Evangeline, narrowing my eyes at Aaron. "What makes you think I'll let her go?"

"You are just as dangerous as anyone else around here!"

Aaron was right.

His reaction isn't unexpected.

I was brought back to a time where the worst has already happened to him, where his entire clan was annihilated.

Alas, I did not have the luxury to choose the time I was revived to. In fact, I never wanted to be revived.

"Quit yapping," I grimaced, before glancing at the two vampires at the side. "By the way, aren't you putting those away?"

The two vampires recovered from their shock. Their pale faces grew more pale, and they were trembling violently at the sight of me.

"Ye-yes, young master Segi!"

"Right away, young master Segi!"

The blood javelins were retracted in an instant as they bowed their heads to me.

"Sorry, seems like I'm pressuring you too much," a small smile curved at my lips. "You should go."

The two vampires gasped, looking at me with wide eyes.

"Young master Segi, w-we can't. Master Kian said to bring--"

"Go back," I cut them off, my eyes glowing red once again. "I won't say it twice."

The two vampires stiffened.

I sighed, knowing if they went back empty-handed, Kian would be rid of them in an instant.

We were already at war, unless they hurt someone precious to me, I did not want any more vampire blood to be spilled.

"I'll deal with Kian, use my name."

"Th-thank you, young master Segi."

"We owe you, young master Segi."

"Oh, and before you go," I nudged my heads up to the lights in the building. "Turn it all back on."

"Understood, young master Segi."

"We understand."

The vampires summoned their own blood portal, disappearing without a trace.

"Ah, hey! Who said you could go--"

"You don't even have that damn heirloom with you now, don't you?"

Aaron narrowed his eyes at me. "How did you know?"

"You won't stand a chance against two of them without your friends, and your weapon."
