The Tiktok that started this all is just up above. Eren really would free the fish, or at least try since he's all about that sweet-savory freedom. Honestly, it all makes sense since this is all sea-related. Armin, Eren, and Mikasa all cared about the sea and wanted to see it.
Then I got to thinking if this was real modern life, Eren would absolutely HATE Sea World and what they're doing to the wildlife they've taken from their homes. Them being confined in tiny walls of glass would not sit well with him. Thus this story was born, Eren Yeager the Wildlife activist, woot woot! This is gonna be all deep and wholesome.
