Present day:
Thinking back to what happened that day always hurts so much. If only I hadn't called them. They would still be alive. I get off the couch wipe my eyes and get up. I have to get up. I have work soon. ( I don't know if I mentioned it but shes currently 18) I climb down and walk in the forest in the direction of my house. Going up the stairs I stop in the doorway of my bathroom, afraid of what I might see. After taking a deep breath I look in the mirror.
I look completely normal. Nothing is different. What the fuck is going on!? I shake it off and get ready. As I lock up my house I realize one fatal mistake. My bike is still at the school.
"Fuck!" I run back to the school hoping not to see anyone outside since lunch is over. Halfway there I hear a branch crack over to my far right. Oh hell no am I becoming like every stupid chick in a horror movie alone in a forest. Fuck no! I run faster nopeing out of the situation. I get out of the woods and to my bike and sigh in relief. Getting on my bike and starting it up I head over to the bakery where I work. Parking my bike and getting off I head into the bakery excited to get started.
A few hours later I walk out exhausted but happy with how many customers left good reviews on the place. Heading over to the smoking area I pull out a cigarette and light it. Taking a deep pull I look up into the forest and nearly start choking from shock. Right infront of me were two bright yellow eyes staring back at me. The cold shiver rolls down my back. You could feel the wrongness of those eyes at a mere glance. It pierced your very soul and filled it with malice and left a sour taste in your mouth. It smiled a huge smile at me, instead of a warm feeling you get from a smile I shook more at the sight. Yellow teeth with long fangs reflect back at me. Realizing I had stopped breathing I take a huge intake of air and bolt towards my bike and switching the engine on. Gunning it out the parking lot I race down the dark empty street. When did it get so fucking dark! I don't dare look back because I can hear heavy footfalls behind me. Slowly they start getting farther away until completely disappearing. I still don't look back to afraid of what I might see. I get to my house and race inside locking the door. I sigh with relief and slowly slide down the door trying to stop the rapid beating of my heart. Thank God I got away. I thought.
Oh how wrong I was.
