Y/N's POV

I woke up, expecting to be in my own dorm , but they weight of Weiss resting her head on my chest told me otherwise.

Morning, sleepy head. You feeling better?

Yeah...what happened?

After you finished eating you came here and passed out on Weiss's bed.

"Oh..." I muttered aloud, causing Weiss to stir.

"G-good morning Weiss." I managed to stutter.

Weiss held me closer to her, before her eyes shot open, and she shot away from me, sitting up. Her face was red, and she wouldn't look me in the eye.

"G-good morning!" she exclaimed.

Her loud greeting caused the others to start waking as well

Ruby hopped down from the bunk above us.

"Morning (Y/N), feeling better?"

"Yeah...T-thanks for asking"

I quickly got up to head back to my dorm to get ready for the day.

Weiss' POV

Waking up to (Y/N) was soooo nice. I still felt as if his strong body was holding me, his scent lingered in my mind, he was just so...intoxicating....

My mind was brought back to earth when Ruby started snapping her fingers at me.

"Earth to Weiss! We have class today."

"R-right"

I got up and started getting ready for the day, taking longer in the shower to take care of things...

Y/N's POV

You know kid, I think it's incredible that you haven't noticed

Noticed what?

I was walking along the halls of the 1st year dorm building to make my way back to my room while conversing with Greed

Weiss has the hots for you

And what exactly does that mean?

Ooooh, that's right, you don't have a basic education

Are you calling me dumb?

No, not at all. As true as that may be the issue here is that your knowledge of the outside world isn't where it needs to be at. We've got some studying to do my friend

[Timeskip]

After classes, Greed's course (Being a person 101 as he liked to call it) included, I headed back to my dorm to take a break from school. I changed from my school uniform to jeans and a black and (f/c) long sleeve shirt. Just as I finished putting on the shirt, there was a knock at my door.

Probably  Weiss

I sighed, then answered "C-come in."

"Um...hey, it's me."

I turned around to be met with Yang, to both mine and Greed's surprise.

"Oh, H-hi"

I watched as she sat on the empty bed across from mine, and found it fitting to sit across from her as well.

"C-can I help you?"

"Yeah, I just wanted to talk, hang out kind of deal."

"C-cool. I uh, don't have m-much to do. Or m-much at all."

"Eh, that's fine."

An awkward silence passed between us, and Yang plopped down onto the bed, staring at the ceiling as she laid on the mattress.

"Weiss told me." Yang blurted, breaking the silence.

"About what?"

"Your scars."

I instinctively tugged at the edges of my sleeves, hoping to hide them. "Oh..."

"She says she saw them while you were asleep."

More silence passed between us.

"You're not much of a talker, huh?" Yang asked, attempting to start up another conversation.

"I-im not used to it, i-if that's what you mean."

"Why not?"

"Ch-children are meant to be seen n-not heard. At least, th-that's what mother would say."

"Hm." Yang replied, her expression changing towards a more sour look. "I never really knew my mom. But Ruby's mom, Summer, took care of me as if I were her own. Doesn't make me any less upset about it though."

Yang looked over at me and could probably see how visibly upset I was.

"Why don't we get something to eat? We've been sitting here a while."

Weiss' POV

Come on, Weiss, get yourself together.

After this morning's events, I had spent the day simultaneously daydreaming of (Y/N) and I together, and trying to pull my mind out of the gutters long enough to interact with others. I was heading towards the cafeteria for dinner, and when I approached our table I saw Yang and (Y/N) sitting together, the rest of the team hadn't arrived yet.

"Hey (Y/n), hi Yang." I greeted politely, trying to read the situation between the two as I sat on (Y/N)'s vacant side.

"What have you guys been up to?"

I took note as (Y/N) looked down at his plate, when I made eye contact with him

"N-nothing much" he answered, moving his food around his plate.

Yang leaned back and looked at me, shaking her head, as if to say it wasn't a good time, but I wasn't going to let her pull one over on me.

"Are you doing anything after this?" I asked (Y/N)

"N-no, not really."

"Great! Do you want to go on a walk with me? The weather here in Vale is so much better than in Atlas."

"S-sure...I guess."

Happy to get some time alone with him, I had to stop myself from smiling like an idiot. Yang shot me a glare, and I instantly knew I was right about her.

"Yang, do you have any objection to this?" I asked, challenging her.

"Even if I did, it's none my business. (Y/N) is his own person."

(Y/N) slammed his fist against the table, startling the both of us. In that same moment, his expression softened with worry.

"I-i'm sorry. I didn't mean t-to... I just want to eat i-in quiet...if you d-don't mind."

Yang and I gave one last glare at each other before going back to our meals.

(Y/N)'s POV

It wasn't much longer than my outburst when I had decided to excuse myself.

"I-i'll be in my dorm." I told them.

I headed towards the exit, ignoring Ruby and Blake as they arrived.

Kid, you doing good?

Leave me alone

As you wish...

I could feel Greed's presence leave my body as he returned to the knife.

After reaching my dorm, I closed the door behind me and slumped down against it, holding my knees close to me. After a moment, I took Greed's knife out of my pocket, staring down at him before throwing it across the room in frustration.

"I don't know what to do anymore." I sighed, suddenly feeling tired. "At least when I was with mom I knew what she wanted..."

Feeling exhausted, I dozed off against the door.
