"Yes professor?" You say innocently
"If you pull another stunt like that young lady I will have no choice...but to give you..detention." He says from his seat
"Professor I was only kidding around you know that"
"Well stop it, it's no longer funny"
"Come on Severus we both know it's funny"
"....I....leave before I change my mind on not giving you detention..."
you laugh "see you later my loveeeee" you drag out the last two words and exit his classroom. You were running behind but thankfully potions was just down the hall. You knew you could pretty much get away with anything knowing Snape was your best friend so when you saw Malfoy acting suspicious and walking towards the stairwell you had to follow him especially after what Harry said at breakfast. He walked into an empty corridor and stood at a large wall until a door appeared.
"The room of requirement?" You whispered to yourself "what are you doing draco?" You thought to yourself.
He walked through the door and as soon as it appeared it vanished, you thought about waiting for him to comeback but you decided it would be best to go to class and not get caught. So you went back the way you came and walked into potions.
"Ah Y/N lovely to see you" professor Slughorn said
"Hello professor you as well, sorry I am late Professor Snape had me stay after class to solve an issue" you said
"No problem my dear go grab a book"
"Yes sir"
You walked to a cabinet to find a single tattered book you grabbed it and walked to stand with the rest of the class.
"Can anyone tell me what these potions are?" Slughorn asked.
"That one there is veritaserum it's a very powerful truth potion, that one is Draught of Living Death, and this one is Amortentia...the most powerful love potion in the world,it is rumored to smell different to each person based on what attracts them for example I smell old parchment, expensive cologne and metal. (The smell of cauldrons perhaps?)
"Outstanding miss Y/L/N"
Slughorn started to talk about what was happening in class but you couldn't help but think about what those smells were you recognized them but you couldn't tell where from.
You heard Slughorn say to go to page ten and make the potion written. You went to the table and opened you book you noticed writing all over the page. It crossed out institutions and wrote in new ones you were confused but followed. By the time you were half way done you noticed people still struggling on step one.

"Its perfect!!" Slughorn said as he dropped a leaf into you cauldron "here you are my dear one vial of Felix Felicis you'd it well."
"Thank you sir" you said and just like that class was over. Callie ran up to you.
"How in the hell did you do that?" She asked
"I don't know I just did"
"Oh? Okay then well want to go to the common room with me?"
"Sure"
