- Chapter 20
Last time on Run Away, it is Kurt's big day since his show is starting but he is stressing out because he can't see Blaine in the audience but he's just late. Kurt announces what the name of his line stands for and it is for him and Blaine, who is on time to see this and support Kurt with his first show as promised. That's what you missed on Run Away.
'We should get out of this bed,' Kurt says, his head laying on Blaine's chest. 'But what if I don't want to?' Blaine says while he hugs the younger boy thighter. 'The rest are probably all downstairs having breakfast already, but we can't go there together. You have to go first,' Kurt says, loosening himself from Blaine's grip. 'Can't we just spend the day in bed?' Blaine wines. 'We are going to have breakfast with our friends, after that we can spend the day doing nothing,' Kurt says, taking his pyjamas off and taking some clothes off of the floor. 'Does this mean we are back together?' Blaine asks out of the blue. 'Do you want it to be like that?' Kurt asks. 'I don't know,' Blaine sighs. 'I want to, but with my debut show coming up and you becoming big at Vogue. Things will get too busy and I don't know if we can keep that up,' he says. 'We will figure this out later, now you go downstairs I'll be there in ten.'
Juniper eyes widen as Blaine walks into the breakfast hall. 'Blaine! Sit down and cover your neck and jaw,' she pulls Blaine onto a chair. 'What? Why?' He asks. 'It's none of my business what you do with who but you know Kurt still loves you so seeing you with hickeys would really screw with his feelings Blaine. I never expected you to do something like that, seeing those hickeys will hurt Kurt,' Juniper says. 'Then he shouldn't have given me the goddamn hickeys,' Blaine blurs out and Noah chokes on his egg, 'I always thought the roles would be reversed.' Everyone stares at Kurt as he enters the hall. 'Why is everyone staring at me?' He says when sitting down next to Blaine. 'I kinda said you gave me the hickeys,' Blaine says and Kurt smirks. 'And I'd do it again,' Kurt whispers. 'So, are you two back together now or something?' Sebastian says. 'It's complicated,' Blaine and Kurt say in unison. 'Blaine! Your debut is in less then a week, what If people see the hickeys!' Rachel says. 'They'll be gone by then and if they aren't, wow people will see that I have a life besides theater, shocker,' Blaine says sarcastically. 'Blaine, your debut isn't some joke,' Rachel says, clearly furious. 'So is my love for Kurt. Now let me eat my breakfast in peace,' Blaine says, shoving eggs into his mouth. 'this breakfast is interesting after all,' Juniper whispers while trying to hold back her laugh. 'Shut up,' Blaine says, feeling his cheeks get red. 'You should slow down on the strawberry drinks, you are turning into one,' Juniper giggles, next to her Sebastian breaks into laughing. 'You should see the look on your faces,' he laughs. 'Shut up, Smythe,' Kurt says with a red face. 'We should go,' Blaine gets up with a donut half in his mouth. 'yes you two definitely should, so we can make fun of you without you two getting mad,' Noah says, waving at the two boys before leaving. 'I will kill them one day.' 'I'm with you Blaine,' Kurt says before taking Blaine's hand.
'To be honest, i wouldn't mind getting back together,' Kurt lays on his bed, staring at the ceiling of his hotel room. Blaine smiles and throws himself on the bed next to Kurt. 'But you are so busy with your debut, and I am sort of busy now here.' Blaine rolls closer to Kurt and kisses him on his nose, 'There is nothing i want more than to get back together with you, i swear, but we both are so busy. Do you think we could do it?' 'I don't know, but what we don't try, what we don't know,' Kurt shrugs. 'Is this you trying to be poetic?' Blaine laughs. 'No, Blaine Anderson, this is me being the smart version of me,' Kurt giggles before letting his head rest in the crook of Blaine's neck. 'Do you remember that time at the party, when you said you wanted to run away together. Just you and me against the world, forgetting about everything else?' Blaine says and Kurt nods. 'I wish we would've done that. You and I against the world sounds good.' Kurt sighs, 'You and me together just sounds good already.' Blaine smiles and takes Kurt's face in his hands. 'What have i missed looking into those eyes,' Kurt mumbles. Blaine turns his face away to hide the fact that his cheeks get red and let's go of Kurt's face. 'This is our last day together for a while again,' Kurt says with a sad smile, 'We can't just spend it in a hotel room when there is so much out there to see for you.' Both of the boys get up from their bed. 'Do you have something to wear for me?' Blaine asks and Kurt throws his a hoodie and sweatpants. 'These are mine?' Blaine says confused. 'I came prepared,' Kurt smiles. He quickly gets dressed too. 'I look like some homeless guy next to you,' Blaine laughs. Kurt is dressed as fancy as he always dresses. 'Then people at least won't look at you,' Kurt laughs and he receives a smile from Blaine. 'Coffee?'
Just ten minutes later Blaine and Kurt walk into the small Coffee shop that Kurt had been visiting on the daily ever since he came to Milan. Kurt hasn't seen the barista since the day he gave Kurt his phone number. Kurt always made sure to go at different times. 'Hey, long time no see,' Kurt and Blaine turn around. 'Oh hey,' Kurt quickly looks at the nameplate on the guy's uniform, 'Oliver.' Kurt turns away from the boy and walks towards the order register. 'Una moka media senza grassi e una goccia media, per favor,' Kurt says with a smile. 'That was hot,' Blaine whispers in Kurt's ear. He quickly presses a kiss to Kurt's cheek when he sees the barista guy, Oliver, look at them. 'Someone is jealous,' Kurt chuckles. 'I don't know if you are talking about him or me,' Blaine says. 'Both, to be honest,' Kurt smiles, 'But you are the only person i have eyes for,' Kurt softly presses his lips on Blaine's. 'Your order is ready,' Oliver breaks the two apart. 'Thank you,' Blaine takes the cups from his hands and Hands Kurt's his cup, 'How long did it take you to learn our coffee order in Italian. I get that you know your own coffee order, but you know my coffee order in Italian?' 'I sometimes ordered your usual coffee order when i missed you a lot,' Kurt says, taking small sips from his coffee. 'Where do we go first?' Blaine asks. 'Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, it's this place with luxury stores and nice caffee's,' Kurt smiles at Blaine who's staring at Kurt in awe, 'I love how you talk in Italian like you never did something else.'
After hours of walking through Milan and visiting Kurt's favorite spots, Blaine has to say goodbye to Kurt again. 'I don't want to go,' Blaine says, tears in his eyes. 'I'm having a deja-vu here,' Kurt smiles. 'I am going to do the same as what you did. I am going to let you go, like you did to me.' Blaine smiles sadly. 'We'll be together soon again. I promise i will be at your show on Saturday,' Kurt wraps his arms around Blaine's wait. 'I love you so much, Kurt Hummel,' Blaine says, his eyes red and puffy from the tears that are now streaming down his face. 'I love you too, Blaine Anderson. One day we will Run Away together,' Kurt kisses Blaine one last time before letting go of him and taking a small present from the pocket of his jacket. 'Open it on your flight home. Have a good flight Blaine,' Kurt smiles as he hands Blaine the present. 'Have fun with the rest of your shows Kurtie.' Blaine quickly kisses Kurt on his cheek before he walks off towards his hotel in tears. He'd do everything to make Kurt proud at his debut show, just as Kurt had done for him.
