Beep Beep Beep Beep
I woke up to the dreaded sound of my alarm, ringing in my ear. Hovering my hand over my phone, I tried to turn the damn thing on silent and get at least 5 more minutes of shut eye, when my brother came in the room.
"Y/N, IF YOU DON'T GET YOUR ASS OUT OF BED, I WILL DRAG YOU BY THE ANKLES", he shouted, making my ears ring even more, than they where before . "Go away Toshi, I'm sleeping", I mumbled burying my head back into my pillow, it's scent enticing me to close my eyes. "No you don't. You are going to get dressed and then come downstairs to eat breakfast. If you take forever, I'm just going to eat it myself." At this I shot up, struggling to push my covers away from my body. Stumbling, I ran past Toshi and down the stairs, the smell of pancakes greeting me. I grabbed the plate of pancakes on the side and ran back to my room. My older brother still leaning on my doorframe. "You do realise you start school again today, right?" My eyes widened, as I grabbed my phone to see that it was, in fact Monday. "SHIT, I NEED TO GET DRESSED. IM GONNA BE SO LATE!!",

After a few minutes of panicking, I found my uniform and put it on, making sure all the crinkles where out. I went to the bathroom and straightened my (h/c) hair, and put on some chapstick. Taking a quick glance in the mirror, I was all set. I ran downstairs grabbed my bag and left.
It was a really nice day, the sun was warm, but not hot enough for it to be sticky, and there was a perfect breeze. After a short while, of walking I started to talk to myself "Hmmm it's only the first day back, I wonder if there's still practise on. I mean.....it's them, they are always practising. I'll just go to the gym and see if they're there", I finally decided.

When I reached the gym, I could hear a light chattering sound, three of the voices I recognised to be my teammates, but the other two I had never heard. I walked towards the door and pushed it open. "Morning guys!" I greeted. "Oh hey y/n, how are ya?" Daichi asked. "I'm all good,". I walked up to where Suga, Tanaka and Daichi where standing and whispered to Suga. "So errrm who are these guys?" "The short ones Hinata Shoyo and the scary looking one is Kageyama Tobio" Suga replied in his regular Angelic voice. "Volleyball tryouts? I asked "yeah".
Daichi and Tanaka where talking to this Kageyama kid, when Hinata shouted "HEYY!!" "Huh, HEY ITS YOU! Your the shorty!" Tanaka shouted. The boys hummed in agreement while I just stood there confused as hell. They continued to complement Hinata's match in middle school, while I walked to the girls changing rooms, and got into my track suit.

"Are they seriously arguing already?" I asked, face palming. They seemed to ignore and I watch Hinata and Kageyama, me copying their actions too. "Relax guys, you know your not enemy's anymore right? Volleyballs supposed to-" "I WANT YOU TO PLAY ME RIGHT NOW!" Wow this shorty really just cut Daichi off, he's gonna be pissed. "OI WATCH IT PUNK DONT YOU KNOW DAICHI'S TALKING TO YOU!?" I put my arm on Tanaka's shoulder and pulled him into a side hug, "Calm down Ryu, let Daichi deal with them," I said giving a evil smirk, him doing the same thing. "Anyways, I gotta get to class, Ennoshita is helping me study. It was nice to meet you two!" I said grabbing my bag. The newbies mumbled in response, still staring intensely at each other. "See you after class!" I waved off, and left the gym.

"Wait, so what actually happened?" I asked Suga, pulling out the volleyball cart. "They continued fighting after you left, and then decided to play a match against each other. The vice principal came in and Hinata knocked his toupee off his head. And to make things worse, it landed in Daichi's head" He sighed. I had to try and stop myself for giggling so I turned my head, but Suga noticed. "HEY ITS NOT FUNNY, WE COULD HAVE GOTTEN IN SERIOUS TROUBLE FOR THAT!!" This made me laugh even more, to the point I was rolling around on the floor. "THESE KIDS ARE THE BEST HAHAHA" "Y/n get off the floor" Daichi said sighing, disappointed at my childish manner. "Fine" I grumbled, struggling to get up, Tanaka saw this and put his hand out to help me "Thanks Ryu" "Well I couldn't leave on of our goddesses on the floor now, could I?" He said with a mischievous smirk. I felt heat rise in my cheeks, Ryu always says stuff like this but why am I blushing?!?! Must be the heat or something. "Ohohoho is that a blush I see?" He asked, smiling again "Pffft you wish Ryu, it's just hot in here. Anyways I gotta set up the nets sooo bye" I said turning on my heals.
Eventually Ennoshita, Kinoshita and Narita came to practise and they boys started spike drills. I was collecting the stray balls and receiving a few for Suga, when I got distracted by I little head bobbing at the window. "Hey Daichi, I know your the captain and all but are you sure that this is a good idea? Leaving them outside I mean." I asked feeling bad for them. At my comment everyone's head turned to me. "Just look at them, Hinata's trying to climb the window, to at least see how we practise and Kags is sat bye the door with a pout on. I just feel bad for them" I sighed. "YOUR TOO SOFT ON THE PUNKS Y/N, YOU'RE A SECOND YEAR, YOU HAVE TO ESTABLISH DOMINANCE!" Tanaka shouted at me, I just rolled my eyes. "If they want to be a part of the team that badly, they will learn to cooperate with each other. It's not that hard" Daichi replied. "Fine. I'm going to go fill up the water bottles for you guys" "Thanks Y/n" they said in unison and continued to practise.

"Hey Kiyoko, Thanks for your hard work. oh let me get that!" Tanaka said reaching for her bag. "No thanks" she said blankly. "Heyyyyyy Kiyoko, how are you?" I say linking arms with my best friend. I don't have many female friends, mainly because they are intimidated by the boys, but likely for me kiyoko has the same guy friends. "Oh hey Y/n, I'm good" she said with a smile on her face. At this I whipped my head around to Tanaka and poked my tongue out at him. "Oh I love when she ignores me" he mumbled hugging himself. What a weirdo.
Tanaka and I have been best friends since we where 5. We lived in the same neighbourhood and became friends instantly and were inseparable. I remember the first time he taught me how to play volleyball, we where 7 at the time and Ryu had just gotten his first volleyball. He brought it to the park that day and taught me how to do simple things, like receive and spike the ball. Over the years he taught me so many cool tricks, and I loved him teaching them to me. By the time we started our first year at Karasuno we decided to become part of the schools volleyball team. I was going to try out for the girls team, but I wanted to stay with Ryu. Little did I know all the drama that would come with it.
