the first task

Katerina put on her red suit. Her hands were shaking, her anxiety took over her body. Katerina put her hair up exhaling deeply. She walked around the tent pacing.

"Psst." she heard from afar, "Katerina, is that you?"

"George?" Katerina asked,

"Hey Kathy, how are you feeling?" George whispered.

"Are you alright?" Fred peaked his head through the curtain.

"Fred?" Katerina shoved his head back. She looked around making sure no one was listening, "I'm scared." Katerina admitted, staring at her hands.

"You'll be okay." George spoke,

"All you have to do is be strong and concentrate." Fred added,

"Against a dragon?" Katerina asked herself, suddenly arms wrapped around her, holding her tightly. Katerina smelled George's cologne and smiled.

A flash of light blinded them,

"Awe! How adorable. If anything goes wrong today, you might even make the front page."Rita smiled evilly. Fred joined the two, who glared.

"You have no business being here. This tent is for champions and friends only." Viktor Krum argued. Rita turned facing him.

"Well, no matter we've got what we want." Rita turned walking out of the tent, with a small smirk on her face.

Katerina faced the twins. She grabbed them hugging them again, knowing this may be the last time she gets to.

Katerina stood in the circle picking out her dragon. She was left with the Hungarian dragon. Katerina stared into her hand.

"You ready?" Cedric asked,

"No." Katerina simply answered.

The canon exploded making Katerina flinch.

Katerina walked into the stadium as people yelled and screamed for Katerina. Katerina's heartbeat uncontrollably. She looked at the golden egg. She took a deep breath as the stadium went quiet. Katerina walked toward the egg.

A dragon dropped, waiting for its prey. Katerina got knocked down. She quickly got up running. The dragon spit fire making everyone scream.

Katerina jumped from rock to rock, dodging the spiked tail of the dragon.

Katerina stood up facing the dragon, she gasped as she was thrown by its tail, hitting her head on the rock.

Her sight went blurry and ears rang loudly. Katerina looked at the blood on her hand. She stood up once again refusing to give up. She escaped a wave of fire thrown at her.

"Well done DRAGON!" Fred yelled excitedly. George punched his twins shoulder.

"Pyrox Allum!" Katerina pointed her wand at the dragon, it was a pain inflicting spell. The dragon screamed in pain scaring everyone in the stadium.

Katerina hid behind a rock, breathing heavily. She chanted to herself quickly trying to concentrate.

Katerina held her hand up grabbing onto the broomstick, she threw herself on the broom stick, flying away.

Everyone cheered. Katerina reached for the egg but missed it by a few inches. She did a 180 levitating in the air,

"Motus!" she yelled, the entire stadium went quiet as the egg flew into her arms.

Katerina breathed heavily trying to calm her nerves. She looked down at the crowd, smiling to herself. Katerina threw her hands up, cheering loudly for herself.

The whole crowd cheered loudly. Katerina smiled widely holding the egg up,

"Katerina Bennett has completed the first task with the fastest time!" Dumbledore yelled into the microphone. Everyone clapped and cheered.

Fred and George lifted Katerina up on their shoulders as everyone in the Gryffindor common room screamed.

Katerina smiled widely as everyone laughed.

Music turned on and everyone started dancing. The twins put Katerina down gently.

"How's your head?" Fred asked over the music,

"Still hurts?" George cupped Katerina's face,

"No, it's fine." Everyone around them danced celebrating Katerina's victory.

Fred walked away dancing with some random friends. Katerina smiled looking around. George lifted up her head, wiping off the dirt from Katerina's cheek. She froze looking into George's eyes,

"Sorry," George apologized, blushing lightly. "I forget that you hate that." He mocked Katerina.

"I do." Katerina smile flirtatiously.

George began to lean in. Katerina kissed him softly.

"Are you sure alright?" George asked again, with a worried expression painted on his face.

"Yeah of course." Katerina smiled. She kissed him again softly. "I need to go find Ginny. I told her I'd find her after the task." George pouted, spinning Katerina around slowly.

Katerina smiled as she walked into the crowd.

Katerina walked onto the balcony and exhaled deeply, her head pounding.

"Kathy..." Katerina turned facing Fred, "What are you doing up here?"

"I just need air." Katerina grabbed her head,

"Are you okay?" Fred asked,

"I almost died today, I don't know if I can finish this." He walked closer to Katerina,

"If anyone can win the tournament, it's you." Katerina looked at Fred, "Why are you doubting yourself?"

"I don't know. The tasks are only going to get harder and I never even wanted to do this."

Fred grabbed Katerina's shoulders making her look at him,

"Katerina Bennett, from what I've heard and what I've seen so far, you are remarkable. You can do this. I will not allow you to give up or not believe in yourself. You are Katerina Bennett and you can do anything." Katerina began to smile.

"Thank you, Fred." Katerina smiled, "That was very meaningful." Fred rolled his eyes,

"Don't get used to it, Bennett." Fred smirked confidently. Katerina rolled her eyes, crossing her arms.

"What?" he asked. Katerina smiled widely seeing how awkward but sweet Fred was.

"Never mind, Carrot-Top." Katerina shook her head. Fred watched Katerina walk away.

"Did you just call me, Carrot-Top?" Fred chased after her.

Together Fred and Katerina walked down to the common room. Katerina smiled as she saw Ginny was waiting for her by the fireplace,
